I’ve got a theme going here. Apologies to Mikey if he took offense. I changed my lock screen to DD’s mom.

I didn’t take offense but I thought it was a little creepy.

That's awesome Mike! I too want to hear the story when you have time.
"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

    Ok so....
The long and short of it is that I’ve always known I was adopted but I never knew much about it until recently when I got a call from my 1/2 sister. Turns out that my birth mother was someone I’ve known all my life. She was the daughter of someone my adopted mom worked with. My birth mom was 16 when she got knocked up and decided to give me up for adoption. It wasn’t meant to be an open adoption, but her family and my family were good friends. Her dad was like a grandfather to me. In fact, unbeknownst to me, he was my grandfather. My birth mom always knew and I never did. She kept her secret. I never really needed to know, never went looking. But her daughter, my 1/2 sister, needed to have closure after she was told what’s up. So now I have a new family.

That’s about as brief and simple as I can tell it.

Fuckin A. Good story. My wife too was adopted and has never looked for her parents as, like you, she was content with her adopted parents.
Ho w fuckin nuts to get a call from a long lost half sister.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

    I don't understand the 1/2 sister.

    Edit... Oh her daughter.

Very good. Heartbreaking, but I already knew that.
