Oh, it worked out fine for me. Cop Dude had his extra shotgun in the front seat so I got to check out the accommodations in the back whilst giving my deposition. Unfortunately, for me, the Lock is on the heroin Highway that runs between the people with money for their habits in Oswego to the people with the smack for sale in Fulton. Dude was starting to go on the nod and wasn’t relishing his 10 mile walk to pick up his shit from his dealer in Fulton. Saw my John Deere sitting there with the keys in it whilst I was in the lockhouse going through the paperwork that just got dropped off. Dude, figured he found the solution to his problems when he saw them keys in teh tractor so he hopped on, started the fucker up and tried to drive on off down to Fulton to meet his dealer. Had a big old grin on his face as he was ineffectually operating the various pedals, leavers and the old suicide knob on the steering wheel. He wasn’t expecting me to come running up from behind and grab the fucking keys out of the ignition. He seemed quite surprised that I took offense to his actions. Call me an asshole and went on with drug quest. Unfortunately for him, that particular lawn implement cost well over $15,000, and my bosses got no sense of humor. So the relevant authorities were notified of the lawless behavior and immediate action was called for. Cop scooped him up a couple hundred yards up the road and charged him with grand theft lawnmower. Then the cops got called away to deal with a town drunk fight in the park next to Lock 8. Ended up racking up three hours of overtime just to put in the fucking police report.All in all, it was a pretty annoying fucking day.

The only 2 cops I saw on this 9 hour drive were that one, and another one where I passed a car following him, (oops), but he didn’t care, and he was speeding 7 to 10 over. I followed him for like 10 miles and he got off and then I picked it back up again.
I drive a shit ton and this was kind of trippy.
