I freaking love that route. Yesterday was the 15th time I've done it. It's barely over an hour from my house to the th and is some of the most fun scrambling on good rock on any 14er in the state. Plus it's great to be able to descend via the standard Grays route instead of down climbing the ridge. Lotta bang for my buck.
Dead Dog is def not in.

Leopard shark at La Jolla Shores, San Diego. This time of year these sharks flock to the area and they swim in quite shallow water. Where I took this it was probably 6-8 feet deep. The sharks are roughly four feet long and harmless to humans. Pretty cool to swim with them.

i like to wander over to hit these rings in the morning. it’s not too hard to train up to going there and back, but it definitely puts what olympians do in perspective.
