I still call it The Jake.
It's not available until Dec 1st. (I edited previous post to clarify.) I'm getting one for Christmas and I'll be sure to sample it then.
What we tasted, along with the Mayday Moonshine and Soiled Dove vodka, was a 'tweener'. It was the Mayday Moonshine, aged a bit in a charred, oak mini-cask. It was light, smooth and had a nice flavor. It sat easy. The owner claims the Cinder Dick is 'twice as tasty. It's their first run and it's been a grind getting things going with the clears while waiting for the whiskey to age. If I got it right, it's distilled to 158 proof and 'down proofed' to 124 with RO water before going in the casks. He says there is a good uniformity to the samples out of the casks vs a range of flavors from variations in the oak. The bottles will be directly filled from the casks vs blended first.

New house a year ago. It isn't actually in the mountains, just a typical suburb, but I still dig the view from the living room.
