    Yeah, that’s pretty close! Do you swim with a buoy or anything for visibility? If so they should give you more room than that I would think

    Yes. I have a high visibility buoy. I wouldn't swim in a lake with motorboats without it.

    This photo makes the boat look closer than it was because I cropped it down. Neither the boat nor skier got within 100 feet of me, I'd say.

    The buoys always seem insignificant, I've gone out further but it's traffic dependent. When it's wavy I've wished I had a bigger buoy since it seems easy to miss in the troughs.
