Why don't you go practice fallin' down? I'll be there in a minute.
Jeeezo ..... tough green.
I would definitely need to be that far back if I forgot earplugs. The indoor show I went to was deafeningly loud , despite the beer filter
Yeah, no earplugs for me and my ears were ringing for two days. I'll take it though.
No ringing @ all for me. I'm glad. Saw them last time through too. I was about as close as Shred. I'll take the no ring. No plugs & outdoor
Ringing still here. We were on the green and the only pit I saw opened up right on us but never overtook us. LOG they were the most rowdy though Anthrax it was going off pretty hard. But props, everybody was taking care of each other and no real dicks.
During Slayer, the pit storm was drifting NW at about .001mph so didn't have to keep my head on a swivel during slayer.

There really wasn't much of a pit except up front from what I could tell. It was weird to have seats at a Slayer show. I've always seen em at the Fillmore so you got as crazy and close as you wanted. I actually broke a hand at one show in the pit. Just a random air punch gone wrong.
I was at the Fillmore show they played a little while back and was up front smushed and collecting everyones sweat. I used to live in the pit for about 15 years. And although I could do it, I just have no desire anymore. Just a grey beard that still likes metal and not feeling as aggro anymore. The pit on the hill was there from Testament til the end with the obvious breaks. We were on the uphill side so they didn't have the momentum but that was the only one I saw until I saw the floor one going later.
I remember a Slayer/Testament show in Oakland about 25 years ago and there was 5 big ass pits. It was amazeballs.
Yeah, I swore off the pit a few years ago. I'll still work my way up front if I feel like it at places like the Fillmore, but around the pit. Not my thing anymore either. But I do like the energy of being in the crowd and the seats definitely neutered that a little.
Whatever, still a great show. Glad I was on stage left with Kerry. Fuck that guy is an animal on the guitar to this day! Look forward to seeing what he comes out with in the future because he didn't look done at all.
