Congrats to all you guys who raced, regardless of coming in DFL or First.

Mr. AG, AG did you guys ride/drop that waterfall section or was that just for the pros?
You are right; there is nothing easy about the waterfall section. I practiced it (a little) but decided to not race it. More Pro's than I thought did the same thing. My friggin' problem is that I'm a mental case and wrecked on the "easy" go-around! (I was counting in my head and I think I lost 15-20 seconds; I couldn't get my bike back up on course, hyperventilating, various silliness that kept me from getting going; 15 seconds takes forever when you are trying to go fast). I had my best run of the weekend after the wreck but still dropped me to 15th. You would be surprised how mental this game is.

The SuperD was really fun but incredibly hard to do in the same day as the DH. I don't think I can do both in the same day again, it's just too much stress and abuse to the body. Passing Lycra wearer's on my 38 lb "trail bike" was REALLY fun though. The fast guys really hammered up the hill and won the race on that margin for sure.

    WOULD IT!?!"

Heh, yeah it did suck for about the first 2 or 3 miles. Then I suppose I start getting a runners high and things start moving. Unfortunately, my stomach hurt the whole race and I was ready to vomit at times so that was a pisser.

SkiingBear, thanks for the props, it was cool to race with someone I knew. Sorry if I was a bit anti-social that morning, I get a little wrapped up in it all and kind of avoid people.

Super D was fun, but I just need to calm down and relax a bit next time. I drank a red bull too close to the race and was so amped I could hardly concentrate and was out of control as the pics later will attest.

Anyhow, some pics of yentna at the end of the downhill:

    After winning:

What happened to me after being "core" and not wearing pads in the Super D after I attempted, and successfully completed 3 superman dismounts from my bike. Notice the nice sprocket pattern on the right knee:

    Some more carnage.

Had a great time this weekend and it was great hanging out with everyone. I think we'll be seeing everyone at some more races soon.
