JOB OPENING: Come build skis for Sego!

Come work at Sego Ski Co in Victor, Idaho this summer! Full-time position. Ski building experience not needed, but must have experience with tools and wood-working machines.

Sego Skis has been manufacturing skis in the Tetons for 3 winters and we are growing fast. Our skis are getting a lot of traction and winning awards. Sego has 15 models going into the 17/18 season represented in a frontside line, backcountry line, jib line and full women's line. We are dialing in exactly what our demographic is looking for.

Located in Victor, ID—a stone’s throw from Jackson,WY—Sego has a 5500 sqft manufacturing facility that is pumping out 50 skis a week, complete with world class tuning equipment, CNC, and a clean room with 4 press bays running. Some of our strengths include rapid prototyping, finish quality, and capacity. But we need more staff to keep up with our production needs!

Sego has created a great local culture in Teton Valley. We pride ourselves in our involvement in the community, and participation in events nationwide that support skiing and the future of skiing. In the Sego shop, we have a beautiful show room with a few retail goods as well as beer and wine on tap. Sego often hosts community events, whether it is an art opening, or a Protect Our Winters event. We are always down to have a good time and kick back with a beer.

The Sego team is very passionate about personal enjoyment and fun. While we maintain a serious mentality for manufacturing and the evolution of the ski industry, we work hard to play hard. Our athletes, ambassadors, and employees have created a company culture that represents what we stand for: Fun.

Sego is looking for individuals who are motivated to make skis, understand the industry, and are team players. Our ideal candidate has manufacturing experience and has a willingness to learn our process. This job goes well beyond production as there are opportunities to help in design and prototyping process. There will be opportunities to advance in the company in the fall if summer production goes well. Sego is looking for more than just “grunt labor.” We are looking for motivated individuals who want to advance in the company.

If you are interested, please send a resume and cover letter to us at info@segoskis.com

    Thanks,
    The Sego Crew

Says who? You write that? "Don't accept less than $20". Laughable, tell the J1's that.

I don't know man, there is some truth to the fact that if you have housing you hold the cards right now.

I've been looking for a couple side gigs and its 20-30/hr easy, for shit like mowing lawns. People are desperate.

That being said, that is the Jackson side, and the sunny side of life is not only cheaper, but has many other benefits as well.

Agree with all of that, but the idea of a trying to establish a base living wage, (which would be above $20 imho), is just funny when there are more Moldovans and E. Euros arriving every day who think $12/14 an hour is big money...

Don't kid yourself into thinking these E. Euros or Molodovans are poor. Poor people in Eastern Europe are not flying to Jackson Hole to work for a season. Have you seen how these folks dress ie very nice. have you seen how many of them are rocking Audis? or the boat load of drugs and money those 20 year olds were recently caught with.

Same could be said for the other group of people mentioned. Who do you think is getting car stereos and window tinting done while paying in only $100 crisp bills every single time??

There is an ad in the paper today that says straight up - "Pick Your Own Hours, Pick Your Own Pay" if your ONLY making $20 an hour this summer working on this side of the pass you are either A. being taken advantage of or B. doing it all wrong.. Now the trick is learning to save all the money you make during tourist season.
