    Suicide Chute Video (6-13-05)

Went up and skied Suiced Chute on Superior this morning. Xover skied it last week, and it looked good.

Skied with Gramps and his old roomie Dave. And a guy I haven't seen for nine year who is a strong rock/ice/alpine climber/tele skier. He will undoubtably be along next winter on many silly adventures. Always good to find another partner to add to the quiver.

Video is 14mb-3:54. Please 'right click' and 'save as'. All these videos this month are testing the limits of my bandwidth.

This is the super geeky dawn patrol, edit before 11am, post it video.

Forgot to mention the goat that was spying on us from the cornice at the top of the couloir.

Did you ski it from the top? You would have had to huck a 10ft cornice to a flat, hard, landing. I looked at all the options, but my old carcass doesn't huck shit like that.

Bloody good stuff - where was that awkward knoll on the way up?

Last guy down had a nice no-nonsense style.

I didn't include the footage of Guy trying to climb the center of it, where it overhangs. He would have smoked it had he had a second ice axe.
