I believe I can be in favor of climate control and against the Trop at the same time. No?

Totally agree, but they want to put it in Tampa. It will be a nightmare to get in and out of there. If they improve the mass transit, and figure out how to make it a retractable roof stadium, I am all in. Jeff Vinik, owner of the Lightning, will get it done. He is buying up land in downtown Tampa, trying to make it a real downtown.

I just get a kick out of everyone that has an opinion about the stadium, but has never set foot in there. Funny how we hear all about the Trop's shortcomings, and the attendance issues over here, but no mention of the Marlins since they got their new stadium. FWIW, I had a couple New England friends come down for some sun and a Sox series here at the Trop. They were pleasantly surprised. They thought it would be much worse, the way NESN had painted the picture. Either way you slice it though, it is indoor baseball. I am all for change in that department, as long as it is done right.

Apparently it's the year of bunting against the shift. Seen it three or four times already

What took them so long? Smart baseball.

Wheels have fallen off the Bucs bus since. Crazy.

Yeah. Left my desk to get lunch and boom. 5 runs just like that.

Taking a free single seems like a no brainer but what do I know. I'm sure the egg heads in the front office think the numbers don't add up.

Missed the game earlier, watching the NESN replay, "Sandoval looks like a new man this year." haha. No he doesn't, unless the new man they're talking about is the Pillsbury Doughboy.

Do a situp, Pablo! Just one.

Compared to last year he's fit.

    ROLL TRIBE!

Cy Kluber, who has been slow rolled, playing only half of spring didn't have his best stuff but still goes 6 to allow this fantastic lineup to come back and win it 8-5 after being down 5-1.

Tito knows what he's doing. Andrew Miller is so fucking fun to watch pitch.

    I love this squad. 162-0

Shaw is gone. 3B is the most glaring need, but until there is a good replacement, hopefully he does well and builds up some trade value. Let him play. If Sox can't outscore others with this line-up, Panda won't be the sole problem.

Can some Texan please explain to me why the Rangers are building a new stadium?

As stupid as I think it is, I understand why the Braves moved closer to their season ticket holders and a new purpose built baseball stadium after only 20 years in The Ted; but after watching the CLE-TEX game last night I'm having a hard time understanding why a 20 year old stadium is no longer any good in Arlington.

Man. Leon just crushes it in the 12th for the walkoff. Almost into Lansdowne Street.

Sale looked excellent in his first start. Good game all around.

    FRANKIE FUCKING LINDOR!!!!

Makes up for a costly 2 unearned run (and exceedingly rare for the platinum glove winner) error by following it up with an angry swing solo shot AND a go-ahead 9th inning GRAND SLAM!

    Man, baseball is great.

Also, this baseball related series looks fucking hilarious. It's got it all: coke, booze, baseball, comedy, failure, redemption, and most importantly: Telling Joe Buck that he sucks ass.

    Seriously, check these out.

    From the other thread.

Seriously, if you like baseball, crude humor, casual drug use and functional alcoholism this show is for you. Fucking funny as shit.

Cubbies World Series trophy presentation is pretty badass with "It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll"

Although they cut it off early. You don't cut Bon off, Cubbies. Only Bon does that. New curse.
