    Reno / Tahoe Mags Help?

I am going to be in Reno and Tahoe and possibly Mammoth for a day. I am arriving on June 13th and staying until June 19th and will be working during the day. However I am thinking of bringing my flyfishing gear any suggestions on where to go and what to use? Also if anybody wants to hook up for beers I am always up for some brewskis?

    teleee -

If you're going to be in Mammoth, there is some great flyfishing around there. I've got photos from one of my Mammoth trips posted here: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=30755

You said you'll only be in Mammoth one day - will you be working all day there as well? Shoot me a pm and I can give you some more info.

most everything is blown out from run-off, save for the Little Truckee River outside of Truckee in Tahoe

the Little Truckee can be great if the weather warms up, but this time of year, it's hit or miss.....don't worry about the note below saying it's crowded....it's a long river so you can easily find a good spot

    here is some current info.....

    Truckee River 6/7/05 report

The river has come down alot over the last week. It is actually fishable in the mornings from Tahoe City to Glenshire. In the afternoons the run-off starts to kick in and it gets tough to wade. From Glenshire down to Wadsworth it is still too high. Look for the lower river to start to get fish able over the next two weeks.

Little Truckee: Flows are down to 60 cfs. PMD's are starting to show mid morning. HBI nymphs are working well as are WD50's. The Little Truckee is still very crowded due to lack of fishing elsewhere

Teleee: Bossman I defintly will be spending a day in Mammoth.
Bossman: Are you sure that is quite a ways from Reno, and will probably waste an entire day?
Teleee: Yep pointemstraight has a project that will require my time at least half a day.
Bossman: Ok if you think it is worth your time.

    pointem pm sent.

    Thanks Squawman,
Fishing is for sure on the agenda. I would also like to hang out for some beers if anybody is interested?
