YOU ARE MINE NOW! YOU BELONG TO ME!

Finally drove my new baby home today, a '99 V6 4x4 Sport SR5 blahblahblah aka "Black Beauty".

Time to sticker her up with my spancers' logos. Anyone got spare heli-size TGR sticker to sell? I'm all out of these

Toys fuckin rule- nothin' but 7.5k oil changes and 30k major services on the old TuRD

Sick brother! My bro has a black 2001 all lifted and doped out. I drive a 2004 Tundra double-cab...it's the best skiing vehicle I've ever owned.

Then again, working for Toyota I'm kind of biased, but they make great cars, so whatever!

That's hot, Punani! Do the 99's eventually sag in the rear like the older ones do?

Pun, I got a '99 4wd Tacoma TRD - Like Vicious said, it's the pimpest ski vehicle. She just rolled over 100k miles, too... just a young pup!

    sweet rig!

i'm really liking my new (to me) taco, SuPu. i got that '98 with less than 50k and it's like driving a brand new truck. it's taken me awhile to get that famous taco "thunk" when you let off the brake after stopping to go away, but i think i almost got it whipped. did yours do that shit also?

if i can ever get any artwork from the TGR guys i'll make you a sweeeet custom decal for it.

That body style looks so much better than the new ones IMO.

True, but the extra width and 245HP make up for the crappy body-style.

I hated the new body style at first, but the V8 available is disgustingly sick! if you haven't had the pleasure of driving one, I suggest it...quite enoyable!

LAN- the sag was a problem on the 2nd Gen 4Rs (90-95). Supposedly fixed for the 3rd Gen body style (96-02). However, given the fact that I now have a back seat to use and abuse, I'll probably wear the shocks down in no time. OH!

xB- what's that "thunk"? I've never really had it on mine. Was that an AT or manual thunk?

I'd love to get the new school V8s and drop in this sucka. The new styles, while still cool, are too Lexusified (pronounced Lex-sissy-fied) for my dirtbag tastes. That being said, I would get also get the '05 V8 if I had the necessary means for the necessary means for one.

Oh yeah- $11k and the only catch was that I had to cut my penis off and settle for an auto-tranny.

Donny Bravo setting in his backseat alone pointlessly bouncing up and down trying to wear out the rear shocks, is what.

yeah, it's AT. i'm old, lazy and dickless.

after driving it awhile i started getting pissed about this thunk after stopping. adjusted the rear brakes and it did nothing. then i hit google to find that there was a ton of reading about it. started finding stuff like this -

    http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum...ight=slip+yoke

    http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum...ight=slip+yoke

my symptoms were just like that first post and i got under there to check it out. i was pretty suprised to find that the u-joints looked like they had never been greased (clean, no grease anywhere) and the slip yoke at the back of the rear drive shaft looked like it wasn't moving at all. it had some surface rust right up to where the two parts come together and was dry as a bone. pumped a shit ton of grease in the zirk on the slip yoke until the driveshaft actually started to move and lengthen. drove it and was loving it until it started to show back up again but not nearly as bad. got back under there and was pleased to see that it was moving some and i pumped a bunch more grease into it. it's better for now and if i have to do some major mods to fix it i probably will because i plan on driving it for a long time.

what really bothers me is that this truck had all oil changes and everything done at the stealership and it seems like the fackers never greased the driveline.
