    finally - the pics

Yesterday was one of those "not a matter of if but with who" days of skiing. PM sent, 3 of 3 showed. As I pulled out of my condo at 4:30am, I was laughing to myself saying "June friggin 8th".

So there we were, Gramps, TH and myself just hanging out in the LCC park and ride at 5 am just chatting when Xover comes screaming up in his Tahoe. As he passes he rolls down the window and yells, "C'mon ya biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitches" and then speeds off. Dude's got more jones and stoke for skiing than half this board.

After retrieving him from his Wildcat parking lot front row spot and dragging him to the upper lot, with a shrug of the shoulders and a "sure, sounds good" we set out intent on the forbidden zone chute via gunsight.

7-11 - I'm such a doghnut slut that I ate it before we started skiing

    Trackhead booting up Gunsight

This was the view that awaited us at the top of Gunsight - regretting our route?

After a little 4th class climbing we followed the ridge to the top of the forbidden zone chute.

Along the way the view sucked

People are golfing down there - pfft

The winds were pretty stout up on top. The line didn't look like much from on top, in fact Gramps commented "Down there?" when TH pointed to the route. But it was well worth the trip and nice to be skiing smoove pow in June.

    Xover dropping in

    Xover getting 'er done

On the way out TH, Gramps and myself skinned back up and made our way to some Eagles Nest love. The route finding was, let's say, challenging.
