I thought for USA it was Diggins, one of the gals who won gold in cross country

I'm hoping the Russians can dig deep and somehow find it within themselves to beat mighty Germany.

The Germans were trying to keep it interesting until the Ruskies decided they wanted to go into the period break with the lead. That was an absolute laser shot from the Russian defenseman.

So what are the opinions of Mike Tirico as the main host. Have to say much better to listen too than Lauer, not as much of a polarizing figure as Costas either (seems people either love or really hate Costas).

Wow! Great patience on that shot. This should be an interesting last 3 minutes.

Tirico and Bode are the best things NBC has done since...huh. Yeah, it's been a while. That dude with Bode needs to be relieved of his responsibility to think up nonsense to say. He got to be hard to listen to.

Agreed. Tirico seemed to be genuinely enjoying himself and he did not act like a smug douche like Lauer and Costas often were.

Edit: I hope someone wins this game soon. I'm supposed to get up and PLAY some hockey in less than 6 hours.

Wow, the Russians were sharp in OT. Another great hockey game. Kudos to Germany, a great run.
