Heh, I thought the same thing. These guys are getting some serious wind under them off these jumps - fucking flying!

I thought Mayer was just gonna keep heading towards orbit.

    Gapper?

FWIW I think this course is awesome. Fast, sunny, cold. All the courses have been great - better than the slush at Sochi. Wind is a funny variable this week for sure though.

I think they has to throw some turns to make the length.
There wasn’t enough vert to make a standard course.

The mens biathlon finish was pretty badass, Fourcade is sick and the battle for second was great.

They moved the start down and then modified the gates and line over the jumps so not as much air would be had due to the wind and conditions. They also stated they were going to shorten the Slalom race, at first more than the final course was decided.

I know I am supposed to root for the US no matter what, but I’m kinda hoping Shaun White fails spectacularly.

    You might not be alone

    FYI
Jamie Anderson has successfully defended her Olympic gold medal in women's snowboard slopestyle.

With a score of 83.00 on her first run, Anderson won the contest on a day where athletes were competing more against the weather than against each other.

I usually hate the whole "the chicks suck compare to the guys" thing, but it certainly is true in halfpipe. Chloe Kim is on another level, but the rest of the girls really need to step it up. There's no reason they should be that far behind the guys in their tricks.

    I figured it out.

I like watching the Half pipe

I cannot stand listening to the continuous drone of the commentators. - they are starting to irritate me

I do enjoy Bodie's commentary, mosley isn't terrible, but the rest of the bro-brahs with their "bro speak" in the other disciplines suck

    X2
I only saw a bit of the down hill, Bodie just pointed out relevant things about a run, He did not jabber continuously trying to prove how much he knows.

the confidence and relevant observations shine through

Pretty sure embedded in the constant drone I have heard Shawn White about every 10 seconds
