    Tioga Pass Conditions?

    Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyones got some up to date info on the conditions up in the Tioga Pass area. I was planning on making a trip out there a few weeks ago but plans changed and I'd still like to go but probably cant for another couple weeks...hows it holdin up? I'll prolly check out conness/north peak and some other steeps in the area.

Dana Cooler and N Peak will still be good. It's been cold and windy recently, so the snow isn't melting that fast, but the heatwave a couple of weeks ago fucked things up a bit.
Ellery, Powerhouse and campground chutes are pretty done- lots of cups, runnels, cornice/rock fall. A lot of big cornices came down when it was hot and raked everything underneath them.
the plateau chutes are probably still good, but it'd be a bunch of dirtwalking to get out, and the creek is rocking- maybe car drop up horse meadows.
The best (smoothest) skiing right now is back in deep, away from the valley- there's still a ton of snow back in the range.

    Slim,

The road is open to the park entrance from the east…that is all that matters for skiers.

Do you want it to open all the way through from the west to save drive time or were you unaware of the eastside option?
