Putting aside the various things that Apple forces on you that are idiotic, is there any other computer in the world aside from a Mac that doesn't allow the consumer to change a battery? Fucking piece of shit laptop. Ready to smash this thing.

MacBook battery replacements can be had for $50 and under. There are generally only a few screws to remove; the process is pretty simple and most batteries include the tools for the propriety screw heads.
Full disclosure: I think apple is awful for other reasons (forced upgrading- for example can't use iPhone 5 with OSX 10.6.8!). I own a chain of repair shops. We charge about $50 labor. Feel free to ask any questions, I'm happy to help. Ifixit.com is your friend![]()
The Hardest Workin' Man in Snow-Business
Every other laptop I have ever owned you just slide the battery into place. No fucking screws, no bullshit with screw heads you can't access or screw. Fuck them. The fact that this POS probably has a dozen viruses in it isn't helping either. Thankfully back to a PC soon.

Went from 11% battery to zero and shutdown in about 30 seconds. Lost work.

That free U2 album that mysteriously downloaded and killed my old 4s was a banger.
I still call it The Jake.
I no likey apple stuff, but I very much likey apple stock, and have been buying and selling it for 15 years (my last trade, before the split was to sell it at over $400 and buy FB at $18.91, which I still have).
My new Lenovo has no easily replaceable battery too. Kinda lame I agree
Mine is starting to fritz out too. Usually around 32% and 64%. It's definitely frustrating, but I've got to think about how much use I've got out of the thing in the last 5 years. I would spitball if I broke it out into a daily average I would be around 3 hours a day for the first 4 years I had it. And much of that was running CAD and programming softwares.
this made me chuckle, subpar album at best
Just replaced the battery in my 6yo MB pro at the same time that I installed a new SSD drive.
So now I have new battery life and much faster bus speed. Win. This is easy shit.
FWIW, that particular generation of MBP had way better battery performance than previous models with the slide out battery compartment.
My love affair with Apple is over. I still have a MBP and an Imac and a few I pads but them taking the 3.5mm jack out of the new iPhone was the last straw.
It started going downhill when
1. Any music I bought on iTunes for around a 5 year period they slapped drm rights on it ( I cannot move the music out of iTunes which includes burning a CD from any music bought in that period ( lost thousands of songs)
2. The iPhone has and a lot of their stuff has basically fallen behind the competition since Steve Jobs left this world.
3 MBPs after 2012 you can't upgrade the internals
4 The iPhone has one of the worst amps in the industry. I listen to a lot of lossless FLAC files and iTunes doesn't play well with FLAC and it doesn't matter as the afore mentioned inboard amps suck (moved to an LG V20 with a quad DAC )
5. Almost no attention paid to the Mac mini or the Mac Pro which were standout products a few years ago.
6. Siri absolutely sucks. My Google assistant understands me like someone is listening as well as Amazon Alexa
I still like Garage Band and my remaining Macs but it was a huge pain in the ass to move out of the Apple world and onto Google/Android but now I feel free to get what is the best out there whether Apple or not
Actually doing what ACH is on my MBP and getting SSD and a new battery. The MBPs last way longer than any others but man I am so disappointed in that company

upgrade that RAM if you haven't, dudes!
Original up to 2014 or so Macbook pro is BY FAR more reliable than any PC laptop made.

Wrong.
Fanboi.
Yeah, but I think I remember the guy in some other thread saying something equally stupid about Macs (his stupidity is hardly limited to rim jobbing the ghost of Steve Jobs). IME Macs are generally constructed well, but plenty of other laptops are at least as reliable--I've owned a few (along with a few PC laptops that sucked). And this current POS 2013 or 14 machine that's pissing me off proves Macs are far from infallible.

I manage 80 Ipads for our field guys. This qualifies me to say, unequivocally, that Apple sucks ass.
We are budgeting to replace them with Android or Windows tablets.
No apple is the best!
Without societies love affair with Apple products, how could we get the better performing Samsung and Sony products for cheap?

Not my experience.
Not in love with the brand.
I've been a slow adopter for system upgrades while I have something that is rock steady and reliable.
I tend to milk my hardware to the bleeding edge of incompatibility, with component upgrades as I go.
This goes back to the mid 90's when i launched my own business and was responsible for my own hardware/software.
Not a fan of the IOS devices but whatever.
I thought they were on Surface?
the build quality on my 2010 mbp is light years ahead of any dell/hp/lenovo with comperable specs that i've destroyed at work. photoshop, pro tools, predicative anyalysis tools on the mac, office suite on the work computers. it may be the corporate bloatware, but that's my take. Apple MDM shouldn't be in the same discussion really.
I trust Shroom.
Mine is mid-2012 and bomber. PC, most brands, suck and have about a 1.5-2.5 year lifespan.......
2012.......running faster than anything....even loaded with some crazy virus's and TONS of updates.....
What was PC running in 2012?
