Holy shit.. the video footage is crazy. From what I have read there is no indication of terrorism or explosives, the thing just fell? So scary
A few more and we'll finally reach third world status. Yay!

I am not in your hurry
That video is horrific![]()
I the last 25 yrs just off the top of my head I can think of major bridges collapsing in WA, CA, and MN. And those are public structures what we used to can "infrastructure" back in the day.....the condo is hardly 'infrastructure' but a private residential ownership to me.
Lots of folks do unpermitted construction on their condos, and with the trend of open floorplans i can see some structural walls getting blown out. Blow a couple out in the wrong spot and you have a seriously compromised structure and no one is the wiser. Seriously scary to think about.
FWIW, anyone speaking about how this could have occured is talking out of their ass, including myself. No one knows, and like most engineering disasters it was likely caused by a series of issues. Big factors of safety get built into high value structures like this.
Wait .;..... we are still in Florida, right?!?
swing your fucking sword.
Yea I’m aware. I was part of the investigation team.

It’s a small reminder not to rush out and pay above ask for a residence with no inspection contingency.
Especially a condo. I’m on the board of my HOA and it’s amazing how underfunded they generally are. And filled with assholes who don’t want to pay.
Horrific.

A van on high ground away from flood, sinkhole, avalanche, earthquake, tornado, hurricane, and fire danger seems like a great idea. Does such a place exist?
Upstate?
