Tough call to make
Not sure about that suspension design. I'm a total suspension JONG.

Old design, and overbuilt, but if the price is right ....... (unless I bid it up too much)
Pretty much the predecessor to the SuperLight. Telenater has one and rips pretty good on it.
Waste your time, read my crap, at:
One Gear, Two Planks
I set a maximum bid that I feel is fair-
By overbuilt do you mean hard to break?

Why would you want a bike named the "Tampon"?
Your dog just ate an avocado!
yeah, he kills it on that thing. it is a solid bike, bit heavy from what i remember, but nater seems to like it.Originally Posted by Tyrone Shoelaces

Classic older design but still a great XC ride - only drawback I found was that the max front fork you can run on it is 80 mm - the frame was from a time that 80mm was considered a lot of travel and the geometry can't accept more travel.
edit: reread the ebay post - saw it had a 100mm fork on it...when i talked to santa cruz about putting a 100mm fork on my tazmon, they told me the frame could not accept a 100 mm fork. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about...![]()
In 99, I bought a 96 Tazmon frame for $300 from a guy in Vancouver, rode it for 3 years, then sold it to someone in HI for $300 (who already had 1, just wanted a backup Tazmon frame). Seems like people there is a cult following for the Tazmon, so I don't think you can go wrong. If you don't like it, you can aways sell it for about what you paid.

overbuild, ya that it is hard to break, and #26 is very light for that. High end parts (like XTR or a bad scale??)
Also check with the seller that the R triangle is not bent, I have seen a lot of SC bike that the top section (the seat tubes) of the R triangle does not line up with the down tube. The spacing, when you look from the back of the bike, on the gap between the sides of the down tube and the sides of the seat tube are not the same.
Been outbid.

I see that you didn't end up winning. Too bad. Who ever won will be enjoying it.Originally Posted by lph
I like mine though my frame is starting to show the wear and is need of some major overhauling (pivot, and the rear shock). The Terminator shock on it is one that is a definite improvement over the Genesis Damper that I use.
Yeah, Fun bike. Handles really well as long as you stay centered.
