    Officially a Denver Maggot!

or maggette, as the case may be.

I officially moved into my new place this past weekend. I had my first day of DPT orientation today and DAMN! This is going to be an intense 3 years. I was exhausted after the orientation even. Maybe I'm just a wuss. I'm going out with Powderfarmer tonight though so maybe a few beers will help me out in losing the wuss factor.

I might drop off the planet for awhile because I don't have internet at my house (yet?) and the connexions at the library are dial-up (yeah, I know) but I'll check in when I can. And, if anyone's doing anything, you have my number.
Not on here much anymore. Drop me an email if you want to contact me. Have a wonderful winter!

Work smart not hard Mr. "my 3 wood is still made of wood". I suppose you're steezing around the hill in a pair of Asolo Extreme's with a piece of 5gall bucket riveted on the back.

Snowfire, congrats on the move. Have fun down there, but be careful . Those d-town maggots are a wild crowd.

Hit me up with your number. I can't seem to find it.

Wow, it must have been tough moving all of your stuff down to Denver. We're there any selfless individuals who gave up their Memorial Day weekend to help you pack/unpack/repack/double-pack all your stuff? I can only imagine how hard it must have been to move your large array of outdoor gear, immense stockpile of old t-shirts, and ever growing collection of rat toys and supplies. It would've been particularly nice if you could have used someone's Jeep to make the numerous back and forth trips on I-25.

    Oh! goodness. It's empty now.

GFP, yes you are WONDERFUL for helping me move. You know that already, I think I thanked you multiple times. Much appreciated.

Pinner, Foggy, iski, contact info on the way.

SheRa: DPT= doctorate in physical therapy.

powhound16, do you like Denver yet? I'm starting to get into it- I adapt pretty easily. I'm loving my place and exploring around here. It's almost like moving to another country...except not. Although the whole city/traffic thing isn't the greatest. I tried to go to Parker yesterday, huge mistake. I'm so stoked to not have to drive down I25 to get to the mountains anymore though.

So I joined a gym today, 24 hour fitness... gotta keep in shape if I'm going to tell my patients to do so. It was weird, I'm used to my other gym. Lots of big sweaty men in there. Nice place though, but I had to wait awhile for a bench.

Powderfarmer, thanks for chillin last night. It was needed.

edit: and I DID give most of those tshirts to Goodwill, thankyouverymuch... sniff

What are you doing in denver? working? school? It's easier to stick around if you're doing something worth sticking for. The first couple months in a new place are always hard- I learned that when I moved to NZ. After that it gets easier- you start meeting people, finding your way around, things become familiar and comfortable. Stick it out and you'll see. I also find that in moving to a new place you get a good chance to be alone- not really knowing anyone, you're in a good position to spend some time by yourself, and I really think that's good for everyone. Cheesy, yes, I know. I'm living by myself for the first time ever, my place is really quiet, and it's strange but I'm making the most of it and actually finding that I enjoy it. Also, you could join a gym or something. I'm at the 24 hour fitness at Colorado and Alameda. It's a good way to make yourself happy, I always feel great after I work out. Where do you think you'll go if you leave Denver? Back to the Fort or elsewhere? Anyways, good luck, send me a pm if you want to get together for coffee or some other legal drink or go for a hike or something.

edit: having said that, now I'm going to leav the library and go back to my apartment before it gets completely dark and all the bad people can lurk behind bushes and jump out at me. hehehe... haven't gotten completely habituated to the big city yet, I must admit.
