    Zwift, TR, Sufferfest etc

9 riders tonight. I have a screen shot. Maybe I’ll post it if I get around to editing out the names.

Also, was a spicy one tonight.

So this happened 9 minutes in:

Daughter: Dad...Sandr said he has to use the bathroom. (Aleksandr is 4).

    Me: Ok.

    Daughter: He has to pee.

    Me: OK.

Daughter: So I tried to help him...but he's just standing there...peeing on the floor.

    Me: wait....whaaaaaaaaa?????!?!?!!??!

30min, one clean bathroom floor, and one clean kid later, I joined another "race" where I ended up 72 out of 84...it was BRUTAL...the entire night = BRUTAL. (but, in hindsight, kinda funny (if you aren't me)).
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

It felt hard. I'm coming off a covid holiday and even using that excuse wasn't enough. Elastic snapped before final climb but I limped it home. Well done all!

good ride as usual. 6pm MST works much better for me - was gassed on the last hill/4km - Wendigo crushed the last sprint - strong work!

The one time I actually made a ride I was the only person. Hopefully I can make another one after ZRL is over in 2 weeks.

Here’s the ride list for last Tuesday. Need to respect the accuracy of Dee’s spreadsheet. Good attendance and a snappy ride.

Finally unlocked the mythical Tron Bike. 50,000 Meters of climbing! (Actually 56,000+ because I didn't set my challenge to Everest when I joined Zwift)

I think i'll just show up tomorrow night to show off my new bike, and slowly disappear out the back because my legs are cooked.
Saturday morning I saw that I needed only 3,400 meters more to complete the Everest Challenge, so I did an Alpe du Zwift that morning, and again on Sunday I did another Alpe du Zwift, and today I did a Ven Top until I unlocked the bike.

Don't tell me you've climbed 225,000 feet and you're not signed up for the Everest Challenge?

Click that Everest Challenge, and climb another 164,042 feet, and you'll be all set.

And after you get the Tron bike, click on the California challenge to ride for a Tarmac (I think it was a Tarmac), then click on Italy to ride for a Pinnerello.

Can't remember how I got the climbers Tarmac, maybe it was California, maybe I bought it with "drops".

    Nice DH!

Only 1300 meters left for my Tron bike, but have been barely zwifting this season so haven't felt too motivated. 1 Road to Sky route, which I haven't done as a route, would basically knock it out. Might have to get to that next few days.

    Do the rapha rising events

    https://www.rapha.cc/us/en_US/storie...a-rising-zwift

End of this week's going to be tough. We started our local zwift race series so I'll be doing that thrus night and then all the rapha things fri-sun. Taking it easy until then.

Last week was a fun race. I made it way harder than I needed by going on the offensive early and often. But I'm not confident in my zwift bunch sprinting abilities (or my sprinting in general) so it worked out for the best.

You're Level 36, so you can buy almost all the best equipment.
    - Specalized S-Works Venge, Level 33, $798,800. Fastest flat route bike when coupled with the fastest wheels.
    - Specialized Aethos, Level 34, $923,000. Fastest climbing bike.
    - Zipp 808/Super 9, Level 35, $1,075,700. 3rd fastest wheels, only a fraction behind the DT Swiss ARC 62 DISC at Level 42, and Zipp 858/Super 9 at level 45.
    - Roval Alpinists, Level 32, $135,800. Fastest Climbing wheels (other than the Lightweight Meilensteins, which you have to win when climbing Alp du Zwift)
    - Canyon Speedmax CF SLX Disc, Level 26, $891,000. Fastest TT bike.

A few new Gravel bikes were just introduced, and some new gravel wheels. They are just doing some test to see what Gravel or MTB bikes perform best on the mixed surfaces.
This data should be sorted out by the time the Tour of Watopia, with a first stage starts on March 9

I have a hard time buying aero stuff with the tron bike. There are only a few setups faster and not by much, and you need disc wheels (level 42 for zipps, 45 for dt). You can get bigger savings with the light climbing stuff though. I have the lightweights and the cannondale evo so I guess I can consider the aethos when I have enough points. Addict rc looks like a decent bike to have as well. One of the fastest bikes for flats and climbing depending on the wheels you use.

    This chart is handy

    https://zwiftinsider.com/tron-vs-top-performers/

I believe the times are adz for climbing, tempus fugit for flat, at 300w and 75kg.

Venge plus dtswiss disc setup is 9s faster on flat route, 18s slower on climb. So is this worth even having? I feel like there's already too much shit in my zwift garage I don't use.

aethos plus aplinists is 24s faster on climb, but 52s slower on flat.

A more attainable climbing setup like the evo or tarmac plus zipp 353s is 10 faster climbing, but 39s slower on the flat.

So essentially, use tron bike all the time unless it's up ADZ or something.

    thanks both of ya
sounds like with tron its splitting hairs beyond that for general use...
so what if i dont give a shit about speed and purely use zwift to justify beer intake and look good naked?
is there a knee sock upgrade i can unlock?
    rainbow unicorn jersey?
flat pedals and skate shoes would be sick if available!
