4k vs 1080 on Go Pro

So i just picked up the new Go Pro 5. I am a complete novice and had a question.
I understand that 4k is the best res you can get, but what is the significance of only being able to capture 30 frames per second. And when you record in 4k, does it make it harder to download (IE more space on the drive) and harder to view on a mobile device?

I would think the better res has more FPS than the lower res.

If you have to ask, you probably don't need to film in 4k, no offense intended.
4k will take up far more drive space and be far more taxing on your computer while editing.
4k monitors are still not common at all, so you won't really be able to realize that resolution in full.

film in 1080 @24 or 30 fps unless you want slowmo.. than up the fps.

Don't worry about 4k unless you have Attenborough narrating your epic footy.
