The truth of current knowledge lies deep in articles, but we all know 95% people read the title and the first paragraph.

They wouldn't read the first paragraph if not for the click bait title. And I count myself among the "they".

    Climate Change

So now there’s life on Antarctica in the form of green algae where glaciers having melted. Can’t imagine that’s a good sign. Will our kids have any way to ski when they’re our age? Scary stuff.

They can ski in Antarctica, or Greenland if they want to stay in the USA

3c by 2040 means not only no skiing, but major bread basket failures worldwide! Kids not skiing will be the least of your worries!

Skiing will not be on my mind trying to survive the wars (or constant fear of) or the post apocalyptic world we will be living in. Skiing ain't shit. It's a silly folly of the wealthy. There's going to be REAL problems developing from a rapidly warming Earth. Buckle up buttercups, it's going to be a rough ride.

I don’t think climate change will be the cause of civilization collapse, it may/will exacerbate the collapse but it’s more likely to be economic collapse. The world economy is a house of cards and it doesn’t get any support because we’re all at odds with each other with nationalism and regional conflicts. I see an economic crisis and then military conflict as the beginning of the end. Have a great day!

Climate change will cause economic collapse and military conflict over dwindiling rescources. It is already causing massive climate migration and you can see all the resulting international strife. In the US a lot of the latin and south american immigration is the result of negative politcal and weather issues. If the weather is too hot or irratic to grow food and successfully fish people are forced to move. As the physical environment deteriorates the degradation of civiliation follows. The world population is moving farther away from the equator out of necessity and beginning to squeeze the mid-latidude residents, so conflicts are inevidible.

No wonder Greenland and Canada don't want us.
