It's easy to buy weed in Summit. No need for easier access. Some people have kids.

I was working on a project last year that was pretty interesting in the Gunnsion/ Crested Butte area: http://www.onevalleyprosperity.com/about-ovpp

We covered a lot of what this thread is about. We don't really want or need any more tourists in July. Outside of summer, there is a lot of room for growth. And maybe you try to spread people out, instead of having everyone ride one trail- 401. There are a lot of unintended consequences with all of this, however- so then what? (And it was more comprehensive than just tourism/recreation, but that's the subcommittee that I got to work with)

I've seen people take their kids to Vegas. Strippers and sidewalks carpeted with porn. What's your point?

What's yours? Are you saying that's cool, I'm not? That's sad, but, not surprising.

Remember Benny deals with insecurity by putting up a wall of faux superiority. He may be half the human being you are, but that won't keep him from turning his nose up.

He is precisely the type of person inspiring spite votes for DJT - the wannabe elitist.

Goldenboy, that is the kind of stuff I'm talking about. It is much less of a "tourists vs. locals" issues and much more of a "How do we ensure that the expansion of the tourist economy benefits everybody". I honest think that a lot of the local business owners are part of the challenge. I simply don't understand business owner who complain that they can't get good help at $12/hr. I view being able to pay my subs and carpenters a living wage a mark of success for by business. Supply and demand should figure it out but it doesn't. Too many trust funded and hb-1 visa kids. Ski area employees should unionize and go on strike.

all I got is a woodstove to heat my house furnace never worked and never fixed it

here's the wood burning brk dn

if you have one from back in the day you are grandfathered in

you can put 20 gas stoves in your house, no one cares, the nice big houses will have 6-8 easy, some doublesided so you can see it burning while in the living room and on the deck talk about silly

you can install a wood stove/ fireplace, but meeting the codes is expensive and hard to do, some neighborhoods are banned by the county and local gov'ts from having wood burning stoves, some hoa's ban wood burning stoves also, the gov't and fire dept does go through and shut down wood burners in condo complexes on a regular basis especially old shitty ones, not so much in single family houses

tourists shouldn't give a shit, I really don't know why it shouldn't matter to them at all

we need to increase the rooms and meals tax, that might get their attention at 14% but it'll never fly cause the powers that be

so much to say about that one, it's not even funny

look into how much affordable housing breckenridge grand vacations has provided with all their development over the years NONE look at the laws regarding development and they don't have to follow a single rule

they have used every loop hole and side ways around the law that they can, they are one of a couple developers who get to do whatever they want

look at the building they are putting up right now, it's one building divded into two sections with a gap in the middle, someone took them to task for not following zoning rules and went after the town and BGV it wasn't pretty but the person questioning them got their way since the basic rules were ignored
