Its hard to think of The Turn when we have 100 degree temperatures at hand. Maybe next week.

It's been feeling a little fall-like at times here for the past couple of weeks. The light has definitely changed. Kinda not psyched for the dark times, I need to go to South America or Australia for a couple months.

In my University town still in the clutches of Summer, the most obvious signs of the Turn involve the looming return to class: the sudden appearance of mattresses on top of cars being held on with the hands of passengers, and the massive amount of "free" junk furniture popping up overnight on the sidewalks.

I don't like it getting dark at 5:00 p.m. I wish they would just leave it so it got dark at about 6:00 p.m. and was dark in the morning, that would be fine.

Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

And we are nowhere close to the turn for the next 30 days.
