Although details have not been released, the buying group came to the table with a significant (for Magic) amount of capital for infrastructure and improvements (on top of the purchase price) before the first pass is sold.

Don't think the intent is to get to "Bromley standards". We already have one of those and don't need another one in the area.

Congrats(ish). Who was the mag in southern CT that was heavily involved in the Co-Op. Is he still around? I think he was from Guilford. We had a notorious Steal Your Face Saab driving, Block Island living, sailboat sailing, drunken acquaintance in common. Can't remember his TGR name.

I think Stone cold would trump them all but I like ice cold, lets pile up some significant snow and lock it in for a big fat ROI session.

Too soon? If the new owners can have 2 reliable operating chairlifts and amp up the snowmaking by Dec. 1 , it will be a success.

    OK. Perfect.

Perhaps somewhere closer to Bromley standards than Snow Valley standards?

just let the new owners know how you'd like it to be for your one visit a year (FULL PRICE!), I'm sure they'll shimmy right up the pole to get it just exactly perfect for you.

Oh don't do it for me. Do it for all people and families who would never set foot there right now. Unless you want a boys club that barely survives from year to year, then keep on keeping on.

I happen to like skiing at Snow Valley. The level of crowding there is just about perfect. Beer is cheap too.

Definitely the bad kind, you didn't see the story?

I hope this all goes well. Looking forward to skiing down south this season.

Warthog, VT-F is not pushing your leg. RG has indeed assumed UNM's identity and is channelling his spirit from the other side. Not sure how it happened, but I believe a woman was involved.

My heel lifts work just fine for getting up top and the lodge was awfully warm that one night.

warthog I'm not dead or anything. I just had a stupid name so I picked another stupid one. I actually ran into our common acquaintance recently. Seems to have his shit together a little more. Funny you remember that. Small world.

I'm off to grab MagicMountainPinhead in a bit. He no longer posts here. We'll be up there later. Get in touch or come by DW & MNIAW, others.

“The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.”

    Good to hear.

Send me a PM sometime about our Deadhead sailor friend.
Very happy to hear he got it rolling on the right track.

Congrats on the success, and here's to more in the future. I hesitate to say good luck, because it appears hard work and diligence is getting this done, not luck. If I ever ski the East again, I will have to make Magic my first stop. Maybe Telee and I can plan a raid soon.

Don't congratulate me. Thanks but I have nothing to do with any of this. They just won't let me stop skiing there.

Nice day out on the hill yesterday with a few quality mags!

I'll post a few pics later, but it's great to see all the people up there working and hearing all of the plans coming together!
