    coil shock for endurrrrbro 8.5 X 2.5"

been using my old converted DHX (uses Avy damping internals in a PUSH MX cnc'd piggyback) on the nomad 3 and not surprisingly it has been working really well since the nomad has a leverage curve similar to the coil-centric curve Push aimed for w/ their aftermarket linkage mod for the nomad 2. but it's a PIA adjusting low speed compression on this old-style PUSH MX....uses a flat bladed screwdriver. there are times when I want to adjust during the ride. and I think it will need servicing soon.

one option: PUSH will upgrade to the new knob style PUSH MX at no extra charge if I get them to rebuild this shock ($200).

another cheap option: I can get a new vivid coil (body only...which is fine, I have plenty of coils incl a Ti one ordered) for $300. I know people don't consider the vivid coil blingy but in my limited time riding them they work well, and have a reputation for reliability. then i'd keep the MX as a spare shock.

another option: ?? I have no direct riding experience on the DVO coil, the DHX2, or any of the other new coil shocks...anything truly remarkable out there at a decent price?

I was gonna say, yeah do that.

Whole new shock or the upgrade?

Shocks are freakin expensive these days.

Yeah the dhx2 was $530, which seemed like a bargain compared to some others out there.

Wasn't aware of the upgrade program. So they'd put the reservoir on to the dhx 5 shaft assembly?

I thought that's what you were saying in your first post. I misread.

But yeah those new x2s cost too much.

Got a new 2016 Monarch RC3 8.5x2.5 off ebay for $250, a few months ago. Works good, but it's certainly not a DHX2 or a Pushed coil shock.
