    Time for the Lochsa!

Heading over to the Lochsa tomorrow, so pumped. It's been two years since I ran it, one of my all time favorites.

Sitting at 7 feet right now, should be up a bit more by the time we put on at 1:00.

For any of you yahoos that want to come, I'll be over there again camping out Sat and Sun -- weekend of June 4th and 5th.

    Bakerboy? Foggy?

Stoke from a few years ago, looks like I kinda wussed on the main hole

June 4th and 5th? Yeah, that's definitely on the doable list. I'll know of course when it gets closer, but count me in for now...

Love that Idaho/Montana border area. Used to camp up there all the time.

Might hit the Lolo area if I make it to Many Glacier this summer for the spelunking and mapping of that honeycomb cave I discovered, Tav. Would you like to join me for some off the scale adventure on that? Haven't set a date yet, but hope to soon. This will make the third year I've tried to get up there on that mission.

Had an awesome birthday weekend over on the Lochsa. The flows have dropped dramatically, but still the guage was showing 7k down in Lowell. I actually think that level was technically harder than the other levels i have done (12k, 15k, and 23k).

    A few pics:

Surfing the wave behind Pipeline. The level was such that day that Pipeline was very hard to catch at least in my boat.

Trying to catch the big one, nice breaker shot

Such a cool place Freak, nice pice. I agree that it is more difficult at lower flows. The upper section has some must miss flows. At that level, did you try hiking up on river left to catch the breaking part of Pipeline? I found that easier than ferrying out from the river right. The wave behind is money however.
