Talking Atomic Infamous VS Armada AR7

    Hello guys,

I'm an experienced skier that likes to travel around the world (when financials permit) to get some good snow days in. I currently have Moment Bibby Pros 12/13, Rossi Sickles 10/11, and the Volkl Kendos 14/15 (which I am looking to replace with the Salomon X-Drive 8.8's). I have always enjoyed jibs and small jumps and drops from features, but I have never learned how to handle jumps in the air with style. Hence, the desire to start enjoying the park more than just for a few small-to-medium kickers and boxes. My current skis are obviously not meant for park, although those Sickle's are playful af.

What would you recommend? I don't want anything too heavy to impede learning, but I also am not throwing 540's and 720's yet, so I'm not looking for the most incredibly light competitive ski. After much research, I have seemed to have narrowed the field down to the Infamous and the AR7, although I am COMPLETELY open to your advice and suggestions.

    Height: 5'9"
    Weight: 162 lbs

    Thanks guys

I've skied the AR7 for a couple of seasons and they rip. Great pop and very stable. Have you consider the K2 shreditor? It seems to be the perfect park ski for what you want

I liked the AR7, quick, snappy, and could work well in bumps. I preferred the Line Chronic though, and got a pair.

It fits the roll you described perfectly.

I'm 6',1" 185 pounds without gear and I found the 181vm AR7 to be a fucking noodle ... Maybe 20 + less pounds will make it good for you

I've put 3 seasons (2 of them mostly in the park) on a pair of K2 recoils and they've held up really well. Never any core shots or edge damage and at first they were the only ski I had for NE trees also. You could find slightly lighter but you'll sacrifice durability. I believe the Shreditor is only slightly redesigned from the recoil.
