Need a place to live in the Denver area starting AUG!

Anyone need a roommate or have a friend who needs a roommate? MD, u still renting out some of your place?

-I am not a party kind of person, so the quieter the better or at least prefer the partying be done mostly outside of the house/apt.
    - Looking for a place within a 20 min drive of the Greenwood Village area. I know this varies A LOT depending on traffic. I will be driving to work around 7:00AM and back from work around 4:30PM.
    - No more than two other roommates.
    - $500ish a month would be reasonable.
    - I would move in the first week of August.
    - References easily available.
    - Skier, mtn biker types would be awesome!

Will you put out twice a month for it?

    Interesting....

Where is Greenwood Village? I live in 5-points/Curtis park. We may actually have something available around that timeframe. It would be a two bedroom place so I guess you'd have one other roommate, but probably not for another month or two as I might still be finishing aspects of the place, but the place would be pimp upon completion. I'd let you pick the roommate as well. I've got a contractor that's supposed to start work soon. The timing might be close, but if you didn't mind a little finish work being done (by me) I'm sure we could get you a deal for those months.

That sounds like it would work. 5 points though... The school I'm working at is near Alameda and Quebec, just south of the city.

Could u PM ur addy, so I can see how far it is? I picked a random address on Curtis and it was 9 miles and 23 min away, lol.

I might have something available. Rumor has it that my current roommate is moving to antarctica in mid august. I hadn't really planned on picking up a new roommate but I would consider it if the right person came along. I have a 2 bd/1 bth in northwest denver with 4 car garage if you have lots of toys. Near 29th and Zuni. Not really close to Greenwood village but worth thinking about.

You sure you don't mean Glendale (a little south and west of Alameda and Quebec, but closer than Greenwood Village)? Greenwood Village is roughly at I-225 and I-25 (DTC).

    I agree with jibij-

GV is south of Belleview between Bway and 25

I swung on to my old guitar,
Grabbed hold of a subway car,
And after a rocking, reeling, rolling ride,
    I landed up on the downtown side;
    Greenwich Village.

I walked down there and ended up
In one of them coffee-houses on the block.
Got on the stage to sing and play,
Man there said, "Come back some other day,
    You sound like a hillbilly;
    We want folk singers here."

heh. Lotsa luck finding $500 rent in GV.

FD... Check out the new Stapleton area. They're building tons of apartments up there. Great access to everything and should be some deals there somewhere.

Yea I know alameda and quebec isn't greenwood village. The reason I said GV is because I interviewed for a job in Cherry Creek which is in Greenwood Village. The job I actually got is also in Cherry Creek School District, but is located on E Mississippi which is near Alameda and Quebec. I didn't know the name of this area.

Morrison or Golden would probably be about a 45 min drive during the time of day I would have to commute.

Dude, you have your areas all screwed up. Cherry Creek is not in Greenwood Village. Greenwood Village is next to DTC.

Some schools in Cherry Creek School District are in Greenwood Village. The school I am working at is in Cherry Creek School District but is actually located on Mississippi Ave between Havana and Quebec.

Since nobody seems to know what the hell they're talking about in this thread. (or more likely WHERE the hell they're talking about) What's the name of the school? Or barring that, what's the address. From that we'll be able to give you some guidance on cool neighborhoods that are within easy commuting distance.

The Cherry Creek SD does run all the way down there, the high school is by the rez right? I think I know where you're talking about, but not sure. I have successfully avoided that area for 12 years. Getting in and out of there, well that sucks. You could move to Parker/Elizabeth and get a horse. Chicks dig dudes on horses, or dudes same thing whatever, you know. The DU area is alright, otherwise you have alot of glass time.

Huge iceberg drifts into Antarctic bay

    May 19, 2005
    From: AAP

The iceberg's ice cliff reflects the low autumn sun as it drifts off the coast of Australia's Casey research station / AFP
    Advertisement:

A MASSIVE iceberg twice the size of Malta has drifted into a bay near Australia's Casey station in Antarctica.
The 50km-long iceberg, called B15G, is part of a huge iceberg – B15 – that broke away from the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica more than five years ago.

The iceberg has drifted more than 1000km to arrive in Vincennes Bay, off Casey station, earlier this month.

Station leader Jeremy Smith says B15G was clearly visible as a long ice cliff stretching along the horizon.

"As the Antarctic winter closes in, B15G appears as a grey line occupying ninety degrees of arc and defining half our horizon, in places gleaming where the sun reflects off an ice cliff," Dr Smith said.

"But often it is sulking in shadow and difficult to distinguish from the sky in the background."

The iceberg comprises more than 220 cubic km of ice, enough for 15,000,000,000,000,000 (or 15 thousand million, million) ice cubes.
