One Gear, Two Planks
Seconded. Tim Parr and his wooly goodness most definitely rock. I wore my old Swobo jersey to death and can't wait to see what's new.

Swobo stuff was soo ultra cool in my eyes back when I first started riding. Good to see them making a come back. Will be looking forward to seeing the wool line.

Rob Roskopp = OG pro skaterFast forward to Fall of 2004, Tim partners with Rob Roskopp to re-launch the Swobo brand and form a new company. After spending most of the year deciding which shade of blue is best…Swobo was launched back into the market in November, 2005.

TIM PARR: Mike, can we get another round here, please…Thank you.
So, here we go…Starting in Spring of 2007, Swobo will be manufacturing and distributing bikes. And as you might imagine Swobo bikes won’t be just any bikes. We will be injecting the same performance design vibe that guides our apparel designs into our bike designs. We at Swobo have a vision of what our bikes will be…we want a bike that will create a quantum shift in the way that young, urban dwellers think of bikes. Throwing your leg over a bike has got to be made “cool”…for a lack of any better word.

That just seems like some veiled excuse as to why they have changed their business plan to include selling out to yupsters.
If people can't figure out why throwing your leg over a bike right now is "cool" then fuck 'em.
You dug deep for that one old man.Originally Posted by Greydon Clark

Rob Roskopp....as in the owner of Santa Cruz Bicycles?
Yea. Same guy^
I used to have the Roskopp eyeball deck back in the day. Who wants to touch me?
+1 for teh return of the wooly goodness. A 40mph tree branch shredded my first Swobo jersey into an early retirement. I'm fkn stoked for the new stuff.
Yup, same Rob. Santa Cruz aquired the Swobo name in 2000 or so when Swobo went under... Tim Parr bought back into it to restart the company.

Man, that takes me back! Roskopp's graphic changed every year, as the monster got closer. The 'Eye' was the last in the series, I'm pretty sure.\Originally Posted by BLOOD SWEAT STEEL

Swobo rules: period. they are "keeping it real" in the truest sense, trying to get everyone stoked on riding bikes: urban, single speed, MTB, road, whatever - they support it and are into it. Plus, they are trying to "do the right thing" with all their gear: all organic farming and materials, enviornmentally sound products, donating 1% of profits to green groups, etc.
They are very active locally here in the Marin and SF bike scenes. With the bike gig, they hired Sky Yeager, one of the coolest women in the industry, who proviously was Bianchi's North American head of design. She was the one that created all their single speed and cruiser lines, etc.
Her and Tim are cool peeps, plus their gear is the shit. Represent!
