Looks like they wrecked hard before the fire, they're lucky to be alive.

Iron block LS in a 528? Seems like that might push a little...

Oooh, I've always wanted a Boxster with an interior!

(but if you had a white Cayman, we would be talking...)

    What price without the interior?

Why are you selling when you just got it and fancy vanity plates to match?

Is there something wrong with the included interior?

I mean... Having the interior is a nice option, but not a must have.

Sell in spring, more than a few people get sad and hit the red button once snow flies.

Driving my 996 to Vegas on sunday for a work week. Excited to hit the open road, it's been a full 2 days since the last good drive. May clip 10k mikes for the summer. Loving it to death:

It's not an option, if you get the exterior the interior comes standard.

I just bought this tonight. Drives pretty well, didn't cost very much. 94 BMW 540i 6spd manual. 4.0l v8, 282hp. 152k km on it. Euro model. Has some error messages that need to be dealt with regarding lights, couple other stupid things, but in quite decent shape overall.

    Now that's a BMW.

Trying to buy a 911R, what could go wrong?

Yeah, still have the 944. Sounds like you are having fun with the 996. For the 944, clutch pieces started to arrive yesterday, cause it gave up the ghost. Transmission is out, torque tube is hangin there, and I need to take my pressure plate (going to an upgraded Kennedy Engineering Products stage 1) and flywheel down to be balanced together. Then it will all start going back together.

This bimmer is kind of weird, it is a manual swapped car, meaning it came into the country from Germany as an auto, (like all 94 540i, 6 speed came in 95) and ended up here in Salt Lake where a BMW tech did the swap. Swap looks great, you'd never know it was a swapped car. No errors on CCM, (at least regarding the trans, has issues with lights and crap). Even fuse box is correct for manual car.
It has some bilstein HD shocks, and some sort of lowering "sport" spring, but it still rides remarkably smooth. Big bumps give a clunk so it is probably due for new thrust arm bushings, but it handles well and flies down the freeway.
Unfortunately, it is not a sport, and it doesn't have a sunroof (when was the last time you saw a functional BMW sunroof anyways), all the windows work, even has the stock stereo in it. Which means, FM tuner only goes up to like 89.9 or something.
Needs a little cosmetic work, and a proper set of wheels, but with a little bit of effort, this will make for a fun run around town driver to pick the kids up and get a little squirrely on the on ramps.
I'll put a couple more pics up later.

Yeah, no big plans for the bimmer. Make it look little nicer and start running the miles up. Land cruiser is going up in value, and so is the Porsche, so I don't really want to run the miles way up on either, as once they are used up, it will be very hard to find the next one. But this car, I drove it to work and back, is nice. Great drive train, so smooooooooooth....

    Nice.

Call me crazy but I think some stock or stock-inspired wheels would look tits on that thing.

You are not crazy, I am searching. These would look a little better if they had the center caps, but I don't even know what kind they are. It really comes down to what I can find locally and cheap. I would rather throw money at the Porsche, but with a little effort, I should be able to find something cool.
