it's a little trail that drops off of prospector and ends back on the rail trail. Like spin cycle but shorter and techier w/some steep rocky switchbacks. It's listed on the PC trail map.

Guess it is time to get the green Haro machine back in shape, so I can get there too.

I'm not trusting my car more than about 15 miles from home right now, so if anybody wants to come ride the ogden area let me know.

You got a rack that may work on the Subie back hatch? I sold my old one and dont have the set up for my Yakima bars.

I need to learn some local trails, XC style. 2" of front travel won't be too fun downhill.

I can do Saturday or Sunday, but not both. Saturday is better for me...and we need to figure out a time.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

How about we meet at noon at Jan's tomorrow (Saturday)? And then we'll figure out what to ride - we can ask at the shop if Solamere or something is ready yet. Spin Cycle would be SWEET. If that's not good yet we can do the same Prospector/Gambel Oak and then maybe check out how far we can get up Spiro or something... We can gather around the map and decide there.

(Jan's is at the Park Ave. and Deer Valley Drive intersection on the left hand side of the road.)

    I'm out for tomorrow.

My knee is still pretty swollen and tight. Probably gonna be a couple days before I can ride. Have fun, wish I was going with.

How was PC? How far can you get up Spiro? Mid-mountain clear yet?

Anyone riding tommorrow (Sunday)? Mueller Park is clear to the top--rode it today. I also heard Southern Skyline is clear too.

I talked to the guys at Jan's - they said you can ride pretty far up Spiro, but not high enough to connect to anything (including Mid Mountain). Today we rode from Snowpark Lodge up Deer Crest to Spin Cycle, then up the Gap Trail, Snowtop, down whatever that is on the other side, back up Gambel Oak, down Gambel Oak to Lost Prospector and back to Snowpark on the road. Lots of climbing, but everything was in great condition and we had a great time.

Tomorrow we're going out to 5-mile to ride dirt bikes, and Monday we're doing DH practice at Bountiful. I'm up for some XC this coming week though.

OH - and the shop guys also said that Sweeney's to Johns is clear of snow, but someone is building houses in the middle of John's trail so you can't get through the lower part at all until they rebuild the trail somewhere else. Which is a huge bummer - that was one of my favorites.

Altagirl, I saw you and Mr. AG ride past the Mustang while I was at work this afternoon. Maybe come up again?

I'd like to but we're meeting some people out at 5 mile pass this morning. Sorry we missed you!
