He did say he ordered them softer than stock. I imagine stock to provide more stiffness in the tail akin to the older 108s and overall stiffness result in it being a bit chargier.

Still loving the Wren 98 BTW. Can charge hard and playful enough to do some lower-speed 180s and swing weight is light enough that grabs are still easy. Also skis switch surprisingly well. Cannot recommended them enough, especially on a good deal.
It was likely more down to my relative lack of conditioning, but they were heavy and sluggish and the tails were especially noticeable. Like I said tho, wrong skis for the day. There was, at best, 3-inches on top of a bulletproof base. The soft stuff in the shade was magical (pro-tip: grab laps thru the park on the extreme skiers left/right for shady stashes). The setup stuff in the Sun wasn’t so much fun and the scraped out boilerplate even less so.

Can't wait to get some fresh 118's with a never before seen topsheet, hopefully before the storm on thursday. If not I know my 110's still crush.
Usually I’d agree but I was actually at Meadows over on the HRM side most of the day. Took a lap down Star, crashed popping the cornice just downhill from the top of the chair. Rang my bell good…

Yes, they are softer than stock. I like the round flex profile better for my style of skiing. My Cease & Desists and Jeffrey 108’s are the same setup. My Billy Goat 108 Tours are stock though. I’m 6’ and weigh 175-180lbs, so it works for me

I actually forgot to reply with quote. I was replying to a previous comment about the Wood 108 being softer and less chargy than previous version. Maybe you are also speaking to that though.

Throwing up my brand new ON3P Jeffrey 100 (181) mounted with Look Pivot 14 Bindings. Willing to sell with or without the binding https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...07#post7028607.

Interested in all the positive feedback on the Jeff 118 by the way. Seems like a fun ski.

Buy them. Just ski em neutral. They pivot on a dime, very stable platform off cliffs and can truck through chop with trophy truck like suspension and are ok on the groomers back to the lift. Im 210lbs on a 191

If the PNW didn't have such a bleak outlook for snow I probably would. I want to replace these Jeff 100s I am selling i.e. looking for something in the 98-104 range. I think I bought the Jeffs to short at 181 so might buy the 186 instead. Were just felt way too short (other skis tend to be right around the 181-182 range and most skis I've been on are mounted -3 to -6 so its not an unfamiliar type of ski for me).

I have owned both a 181 and 186 J118. 181 was harder for me to enjoy because the stability wasn’t there and it was hard to trust the ski at times. 186 is a definite improvement. I think I could even get along with 191s, but that might be overkill for me. But yes, Jeff’s ski short.

Are we going to go the entire season without a new BG? Jump right to '24-'25?

What’s your height and weight? I’m 5’ 8” / 140 lbs, didn’t start skiing until my 30s so I make mistakes / don’t ski perfectly all the time … I couldn’t imagine owning a 186 cm straight pull ski for that quiver slot. Really wish I bought your 181s last year but I was working on other quiver priorities that I have since figured out!

Looks like it to me. They have been saying it will be released soon for a while now.

Jeff100 181s should compliment you WD110 182s perfectly. Best prepare for having fun though - Jeffs are super fun spring skis imho (if my time on Kartels is any indication).

No. They have been in production for a while now and should be made available for purchase any day.

Why not, we can say the same about the season as well. I can’t say there’s been a day this season I’ve missed them even though I spent most of the last couple months waiting for a release. Did have a good first day out touring on Jeff110 today, worth the weight penalty when dealing with variable snow
