Thanks for posting that BM.
Is there codes that can be used with the factory finds as well? Good price as is but itd be nice to soften the exchange rate and duty

I took my wood96s w/castifiedPivots and wood102 50/50s with Tectons out for a spin today.
Both skied very well, though there is a surprisingly (larger than I anticipated) large difference in how heavy the two setups feel. The 50/50 setup with Tectons feels really light and flickable.
The snow was wet, corny and more akin to late season corn than early season icier snow - but lots of fun in spite of my skiing being shit. In fact, the wood96s skied awesomely - quick from edge to edge, reboundy yet damp. I will have to ski them more, but so far so good.
I mounted my new daily drivers yesterday - stock wood110 182s with Castified Pivots. I simply love how they turned out - superb finishing from Iggy&crew. I have yet to ski them. Thanks to Gman for helping me decide on the graphic! Perfection wrt urging one to hatefuck the mountain

Do children run away from you at the liftline with this topsheet?Awesome graphic, is the pivot missmatch intentional?
yes.
The mismatch is caused by Pivot 15 toes that I use with across several pairs of skis with Castified Pivots. I got them in Forza to match my Wood96s depicted above.
I also have silver/raw Pivot 18 toes that would match most of the skis better, but 15 toes are more appropriate for my weight so I will probably continue to run them.

Does anybody know the weight of a 184cm Billy Goat Tour 116?
Probably maybe just bought a pair, trying to figure out if they are heavy enough for inbounds work from time to time.

I’ve skimmed about a years worth of posts, couldn’t find an exact number on that length but seems like high 1800’s.
Could work ok. A 50/50 would be better but baggers can’t be choosers and I’m betting they will be fine for side country. Any real life feedback is welcome.

I have the Steeple 116s that glademaster has mentioned as well, they currently have Shifts on them. I'd be happy to weigh them and subtract out the stated weight of Shifts, just let me know.
Evo puts them at 2200g a ski. https://www.evo.com/outlet/skis/on3p-steeple-116
Mount point on 187cm Woods110? Tried combing the thread sorry if already stated. My instinct is saying -7.5cm.
Yeah, new layup is different and the bases and edges are a little thinner. You can custom order the lighter core with the standard bases and edges. Perfect world that's what I would want for my application but they were a "factory find" so I will give them a go. My first Billy Goats since the first buy in.
Most of my touring currently is side country so I kinda want them to be fun in bounds for a run or two. Likely will put my cast on them, if they suck that way I will have to decide what the next move is. I have other skis with tech bindings so don't really need them that way.

That topsheet is so cool
Been a bit out of the loop here. What IS that topsheet?![]()

Sure, they will do fine inbounds depending on what bindings you mount on them, but they will not have the same ability to crush variable as stock BGs due to their significantly lower weight and slightly rounder flex. My BG108tours were no noodles - they still are fairly supportive - so I am guessing the same will the case for your new BGtours. So they should be awesome for all kinds of fresh / soft snow though.
They will probably fit the same niche as Armada Whitewalkers when mounted with Castified Pivots. That is light, flickable soft snow specialists that still are very capable, just more directional. They should be great for what you describe.
ah - sick!
Fuck - it never even crossed my mind to ask if I could get that graphic this summer - it is absolutely sick. I freaking love this style of graphic. I guess there is always next time eh.
if my memory serves me right after asking XavierD the same question a few years back - a custom trial topsheet made by ON3P's (then?) art director that never made it to production or some such. This is the first time I can remember seeing both skis - and damn, it is something else. Amazing - just amazing.

Yes. It was designed by T woods several years ago when he was doing the graphics. I could be wrong but it’s designed around a 191 Jeffery 122. It definitely works better on the 192s than the 186, although the bindings cover up some graphic details on the BG due to the further back mounting point
My 184cm BG Tour 116s came in pretty close to the 1800g stated weight above. I forget exactly what the weight was. Maybe they were a little heavier. Definitely under 9lb/pair. Nowhere close to the 2100g of the old Steeples; they are a very different ski.
They are not super light, but not heavy either. They would not be my choice for a primarily inbounds ski but feel a lot more substantial than the carbony weight weenie sticks that are in vogue these days.
The layup of the current model touring skis is VERY different than the old Steeple line and experiences with the Steeple have almost zero relevancy to the current tour skis.
Hmm decisions... to Castify or Techify... 1800g is bordering too light, maybe they should just get touring clamps? I am not super in love with my Wildcat Tours in this slot. The snow can set up here or be wind affected, both of which make light skis suck balls IMO.

Has anyone spent time on the new Woodsman 110? Have they successfully improved the tail from the Woodsman 108?
? That pair of Kartel108s have been in XavierD's quiver for years.
I have not skied them yet, but the flex pattern is significantly different compared to the previous version. I'm not sure I would use the word "improved", more "different" - i suspect both are awesome skis, just for slightly different skiers.
