Just kind of turns it from a hyper versatile soft snow ski into a big mtn gun, if they're stiffer than stock and with tweaked dims. I'd be all about trying them, you bet!

So it's another quiver ski for "those days"? In the "want to try them" camp.
So a wren?
I've been skiing the 191 BG extra stiff for about 5 seasons, which should be quite similar to the "Super Goat." It definitely does not ski like a Wren. It skis like a demanding BG. A handful on groomers (this was the 12.13 version) but money in anything soft. But I'm 5'11", 160-165 lbs so I can't muscle them around like someone over 200# can.
A few on here have skied them and can chime in if they like. Currently located in the Front Range and can accommodate ~303 to 320 bsl if any non-gaper wants a spin. They saw way more action in the PNW than in CO.

On behalf of clydes everywhere, hyper versatile at 160# is a noodle at 240#.
Granted, I'm speaking from my armchair and don't have the number of pow runs you have on the BG, but I've slid on a 189 demo and briefly owned a 189 Steeple 112 (which was a noodle.)
The Wren won't ever surf like the billy goat shape.
'Super Goats' have been made. They talked about them in either this or another thread. 193 (measures about the same length as a 196 Bodacious). Has a more traditional and longer radius tail with less rocker.
In the same camp as a 196 Bodacious, 195 Confession, 198 Rossi RC, etc etc. Fun for about 2 hours and afterwards you're just getting beat up. Somewhere along the line in the dick measuring contest people decide stable was a synonym for demanding to ski. I ski noticeably faster on a 189 BG than I do on any of the other skis I've mentioned here mainly because they aren't beating me up all the time and I have the confidence to shut them down whenever.
I dont think the super goat will be too much, at least not for some of us that weigh over 200lbs and also charge mountains like Big Sky, Mammoth, etc. The 191s were extremely easy to ski, and I commonly found myself wanting much more ski when terrain got more open. Although IDK if a Super Goat could ever compete with a 191 wren..
I friggen miss my OG 196 Governor, that thing was a beast, yet easy enough to daily drive..almost. I dont think the Super Goat would be any more demanding than that was. I was also around 185lbs back when I had the Governors, 22 years old and it was only my second year skiing.. I am now at 220lbs, gaining as much skill over the years as weight, and have no doubt the 193 Super Goat could be easily handled. I definitely wouldnt want it for a place like Kirkwood though, or in the PNW, where the 189 really is the best choice.
As Kai said, stiff skis at 180 lbs start to feel a lot softer at 200-220-240lbs. I find skis get exponentially softer with every pound you gain. Physics?
It is definitely a niche ski, for Big Mountains and Big People.
Question is, do I go for a Super Goat or a Super Wren? I absolutely love my current 191 Wrens, and a revised backup pair would be nice. Maybe Ill just have to get both?

There are lots of awesome skiers on here. If you include ski mountaineering, there are tons more people: lani, peds, trogdortheburnidator, etc.

A good way to hype up the necessity for a Super Goat

Personally, I wish the "SuperGoat" was simply a 189 BillyGoat scaled up to a 193 with maybe a tad stiffer flex. Not a different shape/profile.
It's my understanding that it's just a sized up Billy Goat. It's exactly what your looking for.
An excerpt from a PM from PowTron:
"If we do bring that ski to the public this year (still a chance it won't) it will be 193 and then the same shape as the new 2018 Asym BG.
The major difference will be a slightly lower tail (same rocker, but overall tail height a little lower) and it will be VERY stiff. Like a "SuperGoat"."

Oh. I thought it was more like a Wrenagade from the boot back... you're right, I'm pretty sure I'd like that. Although honestly, the 189 is probably all I really need for what I'd be buying it for - storm skiing at Stevens/Alpental. Neither of the mountains have really big open terrain that warrants upsizing.
Placed a custom Steeple 116 wood veneer order. Hoping to be an all day ripper for NW snow and beyond.. Want to thank the many on this thread for contributing and guiding me to this decision- albeit a new ski. Wanted the new BG shape but a touch lighter and going wood to stiffin er up
