i am guessing that pretty much every ON3P will translate into a very good touring ski - their soft snow prowess is second to none. I also cannot really fault ON3Ps in light snow. I prefer stifferskis across conditions though, and I felt that the current gen R11 is too stiff compared to their weight and ability to absorb hits. SF110s are much better compromises imho, softer throughout but significantly heavier so absorbs a lot more while being equally good on piste. I just wanted to reup my love of the BG108tours, If you are a BMT109 skier that want a slightly more forgiving tail while upping the suspension and ability to motor through stuff - go BG108tour, at little to no weight penalty. I prefer them to HL BC110s too. I am a bit hesistant to post nuanced feedback on HL skis in their threads, yet I kinda find the BC110s to be a bit too soft. I say that from nearly not trying the BGs on a testing day because I had so much fun the HL110s (they are really really good skis as well - BG108tours just fit my style better). And yeah, that is a design choice to make the reverse camber shape work, but it also makes for a ski that loads up really powerfully to spit you out of a turn. I do not want myt ouring skis to do that - I want them (like my resort skis) to be super predictable. To be become airborn out if a steep turn at mach schnell is something I can do without ( i want my skis to act predicably regardless of high speed extreme cases), and BG108tours can do both while being sooooo easy to turn/pivot on. Aka just what I want in a touring ski. A -8 mount would make them near perfect. Get em while you can - they are simply superb directional touring skis.
