Any insight on what next season’s lineup is going to look like or when it will be released?

I skied the same 195 Super 7 as my daily driver for a few years. IMHO, as one who has owned several BG’s, the original Super Goat is closest to the Super 7. Other BG variants are far superior Pow skis and much better in dense snow, but that Super 7 handles all-mtn conditions better, especially firm snow. That’s been stated, but I think the disparity is pretty dramatic.

So what you’re telling me is the ON3P ski I really want is a Super 7 from 2011 still in plastic found on EBay or marketplace. 🤣

Opposite opinion: I skied the Squad 7 for years and I prefer my BGs...

The OG Squad 7 and OG Super 7 were very different skis, with the OG Squad 7 being closer to the BG. I prefer the BG to both skis, but I don’t expect my BG to be an all-man ski. I think Gerome would love the BG in its intended conditions and find it less capable than the 195 Super 7 in firm conditions. That being said, the 195 Super 7 is a very outdated design. It was in essence, a fat all-mountain ski that floated well enough in powder. It doesn’t hold a candle to the BG in funky snow, but one could argue it is a more versatile ski. They are also something like 2,600+ grams per ski IIRC.

My clarification on those distinctions wasn’t to imply you were wrong. I went from OG Super 7 to OG Squad 7 to 2014 Best Vintage Ever Billy Goat. Sounds like you got there with less stops. [emoji16]

The 195 Super 7 had a 21-ish meter turn radius. Both the Squad 7 and BG had a 29-30-ish radius with a lot of taper from tip to tail and a very dramatic pin tail. The Squad handled chop and dense pow well (if you were moving) but it was nowhere near as agile and loose as the BG, IMO.

No offense taken and sounds like I'm glad I skipped the Super 7 (which was challenging).

Eirik Moberg AKA KryptoSkier AKA Scandic Panther is a man of many names in many languages, & now he officially has a debut promodel to add to his Norse legend in the making - KRYPTO is PRO.

Built on the Jeffrey 102 shape, we’ve made custom mods to appease Erik's feral freestyle instincts: our NEW enhanced park detune provides better grip for edging off lips & around the resort, while giving the same buttery smoothness that our signature detune is known for amongst fellow apex park predators. Extrasensory edge control paired with our custom-milled soft core profile make the perfect personal springboards for ON3P's resident big cat - out of the Gaustadtoppen wilderness & to your feet, should you choose to tame them...

The Jeffrey shape series maintains the all-mountain focus and freestyle DNA our flagship skis have always been known for. Featuring our custom 2800 hybrid fiberglass/carbon composite, the Jeffrey Series balances a medium weight with noted strength and durability. Combined with our 100% bamboo cores, full length UHMW sidewalls, and the thickest bases & edges money can buy, the Jeffrey remains the standard for fun, stable, and playful freestyle skis that can take a beating.

Just looked at the ON3P website and it looks like the Billy Goat is not listed in stock or custom. Is that possible that BG has been killed off?

My theory is that it’s going to be updated. They wouldn’t kill off the Billy Goat.

An updated BG seems like a good bet. I think ON3P is doing a two year cycle on most of their skis and the goat was updated for 21/22 most recently I believe.

might be burning off all the stock layup premanufactured stuff in preparation for fully custom-only company re-strategizing (a la praxis/meyer/wagner/folsom)

I thought the new new usually drops 8/1? Is that not true historically?

Should I get 186 Wren Pros, or 192 Woodsman 110s?

Which is the most versatile across all snow conditions? I'm thinking the Wren should handle firm snow better, but the Woodsman will do better in the soft stuff? I'm 50/50 on this decision, and for every point I come up for the Woodsman/Wren, I come up with a counter point for the other.

The only thing leading me towards the Woodsman is that my current quiver is mostly directional chargers, but I do prefer that type of ski and always like trying new ones. I miss my old 186 Viciks, and thinking the Wren Pro might be a beefier version of that.

You definitely sound like more like a Wrenegade than a Woodsman.

I'm quite keen to give the new woodsman 110 a shot. Actually want to A/B with the Countach I have from Moment.

    But I am really interested in a 191 J118.

There is absolutely no chance of that happening. That would be like Moment killing the Wildcat (snicker...).

The skis listed in custom might be down to trying to force custom orders to what is to be produced, or just down to editing in the meny (new widths coming?).

I would get the wren pro if I were you. If you know you like that kinda ski, why go for something that is decidedly more all mountain?

I would get J118s and call it good.

I would suspect Countach's to be slightly lighter and better on hardpack, whereas Woodsman110s are slightly more soft snow specific. I would too love to try them back to back, but not at the expense of not buying J118s.

So do the sensible thing and buy J118s - especially since I cannot afford to due to shit exchange rates

Thanks guys. Seems like Wren the way to go. A buddy saw this and texted me the same answer.

I’ve always liked a more directional ski and the Wren mount point just works better if you dig quicker acceleration and speed. I have nothing against the woodsman - perhaps more fun in pow than the wren (maybe?) - it just feels a tab more sluggish to me vs how locked and fluid I feel on the wren chassis. Skied both the Wren 98/96/102/108 and Woodsman 96/108 not the Wren Pro

Follow up thought that I’d likely love the Woodsman if I didn’t know the Wren. They don’t differ materially but since they coexist, we find the nuances.

    Ok ok. I’ll buy them.

I remember awhile back a few guys raving about them. Figured I’d need to give ‘em a shot. Will fit in nicely with my 193 Nanners and 194 Ghost Train.

So with there being some 186 118 Jeff’s for $599 on the site which feels like a sweet deal. I wanted to first ask how do we feel about the length? I read awhile back that we had mixed feelings in here. Im 6’1 210 and usually on a 190 DW. Thinking the 186 would be more of a fun option while the 191 maybe a bit more chargy. Thoughts?
