Anyone know if the Jeffrey 96 is going to stop getting updates over the years now that it’s been relegated to custom only?

man, we got a dump in my neck ogf the woords today. Lots and lots of snow, mostly fairly moist. C&Ds did great whereas wood116s actually struggled a bit to stay afloat (poor me I know). Second day this week on C&Ds - which is always a welcome development!

I do wish my C&Ds had the new, textured topsheets though. The textured ones seem be better at preventing snow getting stuck / build up on the topsheet when skiing in really moist snow (and also looks one gazillion times better imho). Oh well.

Probably - at least as far as any updates in construction goes. If I remember corretly then Iggy stated earlier that wood96s ordered through customs would get the updated core profile, so I guess the same goes for any changes to the jeff line.

Also, Iggy stated in the Blister podcast that everything else on offer - besides C&Ds - will remain the same for 2023. After all, all the other workhorses - Jeff110/118, wood110, BG110, BG118 and the entire park line up (90,100,110) were all updated for 2022.

Or you could also contact ON3P directly - they'll have the answer ready to go

Went to Bandit Man's garage and finally got my custom BG118 mounted up with my Cast set up. The choice of raw Pivot was the right one. Can't wait to get these out on snow. Hopefully the upcoming storm in the PNW comes through.

Anyone have some time on the Woodsman Tour 102? Looking at it as my one and only touring ski for the PNW to replace some Voile Vectors that I feel are too noodle for the choppy firm conditions I’ve run into out here.

Was just out with a buddy who had the Woodsman 102 mounted up with ATK’s and Radical Pro’s. We skied some really shitty refrozen chunder and bulletproof crust with some patches of soft Sun exposed. He ripped on them. He said that they held an edge well on the shit. It hand flexes nice. 6/10 tip and tail with an 8/10 from contact point to contact point. I am now thinking of snagging a pair.
I will try to get more beta from him this week and post more. Or better yet, have him post

Sounds promising. In those conditions I’m not sure much helps other than slowing down and picking turns but my current ski is a noodle and gets kicked around pretty good. I’d probably be looking to drive it with a slightly less substantial boot - TLT6 currently and probably F1’s next season. Something a little stiffer and with more heft seems like it would help. At 1600g-ish they seem like a good compromise.

With my latest purchase I now have 3 different generations of ON3P...although the Jeronimo's are sadly pretty much dead.

Gonna get some Jeffrey 96's for a daily driver all mountain, with probably 30% or less park.

I'm 6' 145 lbs. Ski out east, like to go fast but also spin tricks, do some trees, and jib around trails. Anyone got any opinions on whether I should go 181 or 186 for size?

Gut says 181 since I'm quite light for my size but I know they have heavy rocker, and I do like to go fast.

First day out with new BG118s. Will provide more of a review once I take them out again. It skis different than the 191 and is more demanding, but boy does it haul and destroy crud. I have Cast on mine and they ski HEAVY. I need to up my fitness. I'm taking them out with the family tonight and will get them out at least once more this week before I write a real assessment here, but I know that I won't be selling my 191s.

I've got an opportunity to pick up some 12/13 191 BGs at a great price.

I already own and love a pair of 20/21 asym 184 BGs. Is it worth it to pick up the older/longer version? I don't know a ton about the different BG vintages, but do remember hearing that the 12/13 model was well loved, especially in 191. Are they a different enough ski that they are worth owning as well?

The 12/13 model is where RES came into being and it made the Billy Goat the slashy, dense coastal mank slayer is is known for today. The 191 is a big ski but is loose and agile when the conditions are soft. I do not think that they ski all-mtn and less than ideal conditions as well as the Asyms. They ski and feel different enough to add the 191's, IMO. If you get them, I suspect that they will become your big day pow skis.

Go get 'em champ. I have no room in the ever-growing quiver, maybe you can let me take them out for a few laps sometime.

I usually prefer my skis to have the same color, but I would be willing to make an exception for this one. Hot damn.

So I just picked up a pair of 187 WD108 from Huskydoc (thanks for the sale!). After adjusting the bindings to fit my boots, looks like I'm a little bit over -5cm from the center (about +1.2 or so from rec).

Anyone have any experience with these skis mounted a bit forward? Was hoping to avoid drilling more holes with a remount.

I've searched far and wide but can't find any info. Thanks

Those were mine. When I bought them Scott told me that I would likely want to mount them a bit BEHIND the line based on my skiing style and preference. I think he said like 0.75-cm. I did just that and liked them there. My suspicions are that forward will amplify the "locked in tail" feeling that many people have commented on.

Your other option would be to source some Warden 13 demos and use the original mount. Play around with the mount point and decide from there. I know...a lot of hassle. Again, great skis just behind the line for me. I only sold them because I liked the looseness of the MFree108 more.

Thanks for the feedback Bandit! I also have 189 Wren108's mounted on the line and love them, planning on using the woods for tight trees and smaller hills (think Hyak) so thinking the forward mount might work well as long as they're not too twitchy there.

Anyone ski them a bit forward?

The wrens were majestic for the conditions today. Been too long since I’ve been on em.
