I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Hey Iggy-
any idea when my Kartel order will press? I emailed the guys but haven't heard back. No worries, just curious. Snow conditions down here this season will likely call for the Billygoats till at least spring.
Maybe it's me, maybe its the photos.. but I can hardly see the asymmetry in those teaser shots. Is it just slightly more taper on the outside edge?
They'e got to be at least.. three times bigger than that.
Thanks though, for sharing Iggy. Looks subtle, cool.
FWIW the asymmetry is easier to see in person. It's still subtle, but you can see that it's there. Looking forward to skiing them.

wildernessx.com are having 20% off on 174 and 179 BG, 161 and 171 jessie 98 and 174,179 and 184 steeple 98.
use code skisale17 for an additional 25% off and active junky for another 5% off
So iggy/powtron...when do we get the big reveal?
I was on mobile. Thanks
Powtron or Iggy,
Can you guys tell me a little about the factory tune? I don't think I've seen this info posted elsewhere. I know all your ski are 1*/1*, but is there anything else I should know re base structure, etc? In the past, I have had skis tuned that never really skied as well as they did with the factory tune, and I'd like to avoid that. For example, 4FRNT posted a while back that the Renegade should be tuned with very minimal structure. If it makes a difference, I'd love to know about the BG vs Kartel (108) vs Wren (108). I was gonna shoot you guys an email, but then I figured others might want to know.
TIA.

While you are on the topic of tunes. I have some base work to do on my skis. (Big Sky spring skiing, and early season) will any old ptex do, or do you have a preference that works best with your bases?
You might know this already or it might not be useful info, but at Kirkwood companies typically set up demos in front of 7800, not owned by Vail, presumably to get around needing to deal with the resort. Moment usually sets up there a few times a winter, and I saw Faction there last year as well.
All high quality skis use sintered p-tex bases, so if you're melting p-tex candles, it's technically a compromise but in practice, it's the extremely rare occasion where a good repair pulls out. Of course, using a gun is a better (more permanent) repair than lighting a candle.
Repairing a core shot is a whole, 'nuther process, and there are lots of threads here on that topic.
Cheers,
Thom
