Had my virgin 0N3P experience this past weekend on a pair of 15/16 Billy Goats. The hype, it turns out, is legit. Loved the ride (didn't suck that it was 10" of soft delight under me) and was very impressed with their maneuverability and their pop. On slow and flat run outs, there was some twitching going on at the tips but a little detuning should cure that.

(Yes, I'm in the wrong year but whatever . . . I telemark, so that should explain it).

I mounted some Charlie Murphy's for a friend of mine tonight with some black and white solly's and they left here looking awesome. I love the rocker profile! Super sick smooth poppy flex. No wonder they are back ordered.

My kid can't even get a pair they are in such high demand

We actually have an athlete on a pair (Meehyun Jackie Kling) and she is digging the crap out of them, too. For sure not your average "junior" ski.
You should have been here yesterday!

That size and model is looking closer to late January at the earliest for us to be able to bust out some customs.

Have not logged any hrs on my 116 Kartels yet, but I can say I have absolutely fallen in love with my 189 98 Wrens...! I absolutely fucking love these boards... I will throw up a review this weekend, but ON3P knocked it out of the park with this ski and cannot even imagine how it could be improved... So easy going... Absolutely rails and just does what you ask of it... At first I was worried about the amount of rocker in the tip, but discovered it is on point...

I am in the market. Looking to replace current 184cm Steeple 112 from two seasons ago. The 184 skis too short and soft for me. Looking for flex similar to the 191 BG tour from 3 seasons ago.
Still want to remain reasonably light, as these will be used for uphill mainly.
Any thoughts on how to tweek the layup.

I am pretty sure we could work something for you. Send me an email at jay@on3pskis.com and we can talk. Would love to make it reality.

Well, I'm now definitely in the market for a new pair of skis.

Last run of the day, Saturday.

Long story short, I got a ride out on a patrol toboggan on Saturday afternoon off the bottom of Paradise run at Bogus. No injuries, just an injury to my ego. Nothing like losing a ski all the way up on a run after releasing (hit a stump or rock) and watching it sail down the run, brakes deployed, to get lost in the brush. Guess I'll go look for it in the summer with a pin finder.

    Those Viciks were fun.

At least the patrol didn't let me sail off in the brush when the lead tobogganer check turned, went into a snowplow and crashed.

I have the 184cm Steeples (108 version) with the regular BillyGoat layup - as my primary touring ski - and the weight isn't bad at all. I'd say the stiffer construction makes them ski a bit longer, if that makes any sense.

Why not just ski down on the one ski?

I'd like to think I'm a good skier, but not good enough to ski down with one ski 1800 vert.

Possibly stupid idea (coming out of the anti-theft sharpie post above, and a couple of other posts about attempted thievery) but I'm throwing it out there.

Would be really easy to have a thread (or even one post) where everyone can 'register' the on3p sticks they own. Just note year, model, serial, owner (could list both mags and non-mag friends of mags and their serials).

When you sell, just update it. When you see a pair for sale in the wild (ebay, CL, etc), get the serial from the seller and check it against the post ('registry').

On one hand, lots of their skis are going out to people who would never see it.

On the other, it's a small world, and you never know. And just knowing that such a thing exists might deter some amateur would-be stick-thieves.

    What do you guys think...?

I had to do 2800' once. Switch feet 6x on the way down. Found the ski in July though!

Back in the days when Telemark bindings would break a lot, (even more than normal) I had several trips down from near the top of Jackson on one ski. A good quad burner for sure.

The vert doesn't really matter. Just stop and take a break or switch feet as needed.

While I agree that the meat wagon is a last resort and I'd one ski it, this shit is getting old.

It's not just you, but why does everyone have to be the best skier on the internet?

Years ago, when I was still an apprentice Ski Patroller, one of my classmates broke a ski hucking a cliff. He decided to 1-ski it down to grab a rental pair from the shop. He'd raced since childhood and was a great skier. However, about 300-yards from the bottom a small child suddenly cut him off. He stopped as hard as he could on that one ski. He shattered his tibial plateau, broke his femur and tore a ton of stuff. He never skied again.

I don't fault anyone who chooses not to go it on 1-ski. Bad things happen under the best of circumstances, no need to stack the deck against yourself.

Now, can we get back to some ON3P stoke?

I'm headed up to Kirkwood again Sunday and Monday and there may be a little fresh stuff (but who really knows with the way things have been going lately). If so, I'll be back on my BG's and the wife will finally get to ride her Wren 88's.

Yeah when I blew my acl the guide wouldn't let me ski out on one ski. So they roped me and let me ski out straight on two once I slid down and walked down the steep shit. We used to do laps on one ski growing up here in the Midwest though. Good times. And it makes you a better skier. But groomerville.

    Anyway stoke.

I think she needs to go up a size. Those skis look a little short for her...
