The more fondling the better.
Heh. A serious note about hand flexing skis: it can be *very* misleading. If you hand flex a pair of Soul 7's you might actually think they're pretty stable. But when you add 150-200+ pounds on the center of the ski they become noodles. People always hand flex the tips too... which isn't where most of your ski flexing and feel takes place.
Good stuff fellas haha
aev... what are you hoping to get from extra length that an extra layer of carbon won't get you? Besides less manueverability. To me, length is a bigger issue in soft snow, not firm snow.
It needs to fucking snow asap

There is so much win on the last couple of pages... Another well played adrenalated...
I want extra length, and extra carbon.. I'm 6'3 215lb, young and athletic, and ski like a banshee coming out of hell half of the time. The other half of the time, I'm trying to learn high speed natty jibs.. I've always just skied this way on my new school ski quiver, and I never had a more traditional charging ski for those faster days.. the closest I've gotten was a 191 Katana, which was a blast, but far from traditional and slightly too forgiving. I wanted more "bite".
Honestly, it's just not the quiver ski I was looking for. And that's OK..it wasn't designed to be that, and I overhyped the wren 108 in my head. its seems like a great do it all charger, it would probably be my first pick if I only had one pair of skis, or if I didn't have the viciks..
I was looking for a fat race ski, to absolutely obliterate open spaces, and to finish out my quiver.. monster 108 was more in line with that, but I also looked at the Invictus and Pro Rider. In the end, it came down to weight.
If On3p makes longer lengths on the wrens next year, or a redesigned flat tailed Beefmaster, that'd be sick. If they don't, that's fine, I'll go somewhere else for that specific ski, only if I sell my monsters (I usually sell most of my skis at the end of the season, to pay for summer chit)..I'm still gunna want custom Billy Goats, and Kartels.. so On3p won't be missing much of me..
The only thing I'm missing is stickers. I need On3p stickers!..and Rax

Dude, it's not what you say; it's how you say it.
If I were 6'3", yeah I'd want a 195-200+ ski, especially for powder. And yeah, I'd want ON3P to make it. But I'd also understand that such a ski wouldn't sell to the masses so I'd do my best to wrangle up some other clydesdales for a group buy. Or I'd buy one of the many existing foot rockets: 202 Showdown 105, 196 Bodacious, 193 Head M103, 192 Moment M1, 202 Lotus 138 R2 (absolute missile of a pow ski), etc. Pretty sure most of these skis are burlier than anything ON3P has put out, except maybe the 11.12 Wren. And even if I were 6'3", I doubt I'd weigh 215#. Most people I know who ski hard just aren't that large. Tabke is 6'2", and I'd bet he's well under 185#. Maybe you like to stay heavy for other reasons, but I prefer being light, even though it means I don't carry as much muscle. I'm not playing football or rugby in my spare time.
Regardless, I wouldn't go online and brag about how hard I ski in order to convince some internet dweebs that I actually need something I think I need.
Okay, back to the regularly scheduled ON3P fawning.

Wow lol, I didn't think it'd be that hard for you guys to grasp the fact that heavy people need bigger skis .. I just thought some of you were engineers or something.. me needing big skis because of my weight is bragging now? Great, I'll just suffer, while you big boy 160lbers are skiing you're 191s.
I'm not bragging. I could give a shit about what any of you guys think..
I'm just putting it out there that I want On3p to build bigger skis, for bigger people. I love On3p, whatever I can do to get my opinion to them, I'll do.
I'm out for a while, clearly this thread has turned into a commercial.. I have boughten more On3ps than most of you. I'll criticize however the fuck I feel.
Besides, it's time to start skiing.
Im the opposite. I like bigger skis and big GS turns on firm snow. Since im not hooking them on any sort of deep snow.
At 215lbs, it should be fairly clear i need more ski, than 160 lb people..
TGR App deleted. You guys can go back to your wren sanctuary.
No, this is bragging:
Again, I don't disagree that it'd be sweet for big guys like you if ON3P offered longer lengths. I'm just saying you're not helping your cause with all the inflated statements. Buster also likes long skis, but he doesn't make these kind of self-aggrandizing statements to get his point across.

Thicker skin bro. It's been stated before but you need to put together a group buy for your beefmaster ski. Put enough people together and I'm pretty sure Scott will make it happen. You need to realize you're in the top 1% of skiers who need a ski like you desire. If ON3P can't make your ski happen, there are other companies who might be able to, Down, Praxis, Moment to name a few.
I hope you do shred as hard as you say, love seeing young guns crush it, brings me back to my younger days. Would be cool to see a vid this season. Don't let this place get to ya.
Ps. I have ski'd with some big dudes that crush and they do fine on 190length skis.
Fwiw I used to be 6'2 but I am getting so fucking old I am down to 6'1 something and then I fucked my knee up. You might be happier buying skis you shrink into than skis you will shrink out of. I'm thinking I'll need some double soft 161 Wrens before long. Buster definitely is the exception. He skis the biggest guns around through the trees.
