Awesome. Def stick w ‘em. Sounds like they are a great companion when softer surfaces offer a natural speed check. Quiver skis are the best skis =)

^^^^ this defines the basis for my wife's relationship with my junk.

Umm... Let me get back on topic. Demoing the 189 bg in spring slush, they felt every bit as short as my 186 peacemakers (which feel short for a 185+ ski as well).

No pow that day. I think I know the answer, but how much does that short, turny sensation translate to pow?

Directly. They’re easily the most manuverable skis in soft/deep snow I’ve ever ridden.

well, I've got some 179 Wren 98's on the way to me. stoked. now just trying to decide whether to grab Enforcer 110's, which I had one of the best days of my skiing life on as demos, or go out on a limb and get the BG's, which I only got to demo for about 20 minutes on a shitty conditions day and have no feel for at all.

Agree completely. I picked up 179 Billy Goats early last year. They are very easy to maneuverable in powder whether in tighter spaces or bigger turns. And they plane incredibly well and handle chopped up conditions as well as untracked. I had them out last year in 12 - 18 inches of heavy powder at a local area and I was one of the few people out there who was blasting down every run without struggling.

That's a big box for just a few stickers. I'd inspect more closely...

Weird of them to put a Praxis RX in an ON3P box.

    HELL YES!!!

I'll be curious to see what she thinks of them. My wife has the 166 and she says they feel short. Aren't our ladies about the same size?

I’m deep PNW but Tahoe will always be my second love.
Never realized that... we should do a BBI Tahoe edition.

    Definitely. Which mountain though??

I am starting to get excited for the 2019 lineup. What models are you guys thinking about getting, or intrigued by?? The new Magnus 102 and Cease and Desist have my attention.

I knew that was coming. I'm broke, living with my mom, I didn't miss it on purpose. I would love to ski with you guys. I know you're just pulling my leg, but I actually feel bad about not making it this year.. After I get my degree, I will be moving to the PNW, so you guys will definitely get your fill of beetle juice.

SLC is only 7 hours away from Tahoe, and I will try my hardest to make it next year.

Quit spending all your money on new shit for a year and you'd be surprised what you can suddenly afford.

I’m looking hard at the new Cease and Desist. Tho Scott said it’s still being tweaked so not sure what it’s gonna end up being in the end. I’m just hoping he does a few w/ green sidewalls since it’s unclear whether customs will be an option. Likely to put the wife on some BG’s next season too, tho i’m gonna hold out for the next iteration.

Website is back up w/ descriptions for the new skis. Also, the new Jessie topsheet is pretty sweet.

Of course it's a valid point. It boggles the mind how much money you spend on skis... seemingly never satisfied. They won't bring you happiness. How many sets do you really need?

Keep the RX or Kartel, sell all the rest, make a budget and fuckin stick to it, bro! New gear should be way down the list, behind retirement savings and investments, healthy food, travel, maintenance of vehicles and home systems, gifts to others. Keep yourself accountable.

No, he needs to just have some self control. I have probably said this already, but hark! beetledrink: money can only make you happy if you can control it, which means NOT spending it when you have an opportunity or are tempted. Save your coins, bud, and come ski when you're on track.

This is possibly the best piece of advice I've read on the forum and a good reminder for all of us from time to time.
