how do this years Steeples 108 compare to last years Steeples 112... are there changes on the RES design... or just graphics and 4mm less?

can someone explain what "steeples with billygoat layup" means?

    Thanks!

That will be changing I think soon. Not only more models, but more people on Wrens with TeleTubbie GoPro action will be around.

Short little clip of the old ones, here:

I woulda kept them if I was at Aleyaska, Crystal Mtn, Mammoth, Snowbird or maybe Jackson. Possibly other places as well.

    Thanks for the footage, gents.

Would be interesting to see someone ride them in a comp. Reine Barkered on Wrens at Bec des Rosses, for instance

The billy goat with extra carbon would make an awesome soft snow comp ski..

I think people have skied those in comps, im almost positive I saw a pic of podium with custom billys, either in here or in last years on3p thread.

Martin Gilleshammer - one our Norwegian guys did a few comps on them last year (footage at the start when he gets rocked).

Dennis Risvoll (on FWT) skied 191cm Wren 113 & 189cm Billy Goats last season. This video is on BGs, but he is on Wrens on harder days.
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Dennis Risvoll at Fieberbrunn, I think.

Edit: Whoops, Iggy beat me to it! Thanks.
Great video (Martin Gilleshammer). Norwegians and Swedes fricken rock. We Danes are so pathetic in comparison, but no snow and 560 feet the highest point in the country may have something to do with it. Bless you, NZ, for having me :-)

I skied the kartel 108 at the Stevens demo last season, they were awesome. Anybody got a pair they'd like to part with?

    pretty much

new rocker and tip/tail shape compared to 106. Although if you like the 108, you will likely enjoy the 106.

Didn't you say the 106 didn't finish turns as well though?

I'm kind of baffled. I know you generally prefer a more directional ski. So your "like" of the K106 throws me off, and is fucking with me trying to choose between a K106 to go with the K116 I already have and like, or Wren98.

It skis like a directional ski with a more forgiving/playful tail. Like a mullet - Business upfront, party in back. I also prefer directional skis but the K108 has a special sort of magic. Makes you want to pop off shit and butter/ollie everything you can.

    New to the ON3P fam...

Been reading everything I can find about these skis and have been blown away. So much so that I placed an order for both myself and my wife.

Last year I bought her the Nordica Wildfire's in an attempt to get her off the groomers (she'd been riding her Bandit B3W's for ages). She did not appreciate the fat-ass waist in the Wildfires and didn't like the effort required to edge-to-edge quickly. She has that annoyingly perfect ski form and these just failed her.

So, after much reading, I took the plunge and placed an order for Custom Wrenegade 88's with the BG top sheet in 179cm for her. Went with softer fiberglass and carbon. She likes a fast ski and the waist is gonna be just about perfect for her.

As for myself, I ordered a pair of Custom BG's in 184cm with the wild Green sidewalls.

Super stoked to to support a Portland based company!
