It's certainly a mantruck. Do you think it would make my skis feel stiffer or longer?

Both, surely.

Well, the brakes in the new coal-burner turned into a sponge yesterday. Not good for a 3/4 ton truck that pulls a boat around a bunch. About 15,000 miles on it.
Feels like a vacuum leak or problem with the booster.
Grrrrr.

Just came home with this. 2012 with 60k. Newest truck I've ever had. After all negotiations and the purchase, I realized it's all Bluetooth everything, even told me where I parked the truck today, in case I get hammered and forget
Then I found the remote start.... this winter just got so much better [emoji51]
Nice ride. Never seen that parking feature before, that's cool. Remote start is nice too.
Saw a brand new Ford Ranger with Mexican plates in Arches NP this weekend with a four wheel hawk in the bed. Looked like a sweet rig. One of these http://www.cheatsheet.com/automobile...tml/?a=viewall . Also saw one of these, http://www.tigervehicles.com/tiger-models/siberian/ there. Pretty sweet looking...
Man those things are cool.
Duramax back on the road. Booster came from Detroit. Had an extended cab 1500 as a loaner. Nice, but not the same.

Apparently these land cruisers will become more and more available in the us. I'm curious if they all have a lack of heater (and ac). Also, what's the story with the diesel engines and emissions standards. Will they be legal in the coming years? (not a political question).....
Emissions requirements are generally model year and state dependent.
^bw - 25 years and you can import them into the US.
maz- Not even statewide. I am in NY but have no emissions testing in my county, just annual safety inspection.
Not hard to add either electric or hot water units. That wouldn't be something to keep most of us away.
Way cool.
frorider is on that truck knowledge. That thing is awesome. You can keep your 45k TRD Pro Tacoma. Diesel af.
holy fuckin Merica...

Love it!
I'm trying to come to a deal with a local garage that has a nice VW Doka Syncro on the lot. Not the same as pictured, but almost identical.
We're about $5k away from a deal. Gonna let my last offer stew in his brain for a couple more weeks and see where things stand.![]()
I would bet that spare tire thing is a option.
Still would have over a Tacoma TRD Pro.

My comment was only addressing the spare mounts. I totally agree that the stupid short bed + crew cab thing is getting out of hand. But since this truck is avail with extended cab and useful bed length, it's all good. Your post above seems to be pretending that the truck is only available short bed. If that makes you happy, go for it.
My base model 97 T100 4x4 price today adjusted for inflation would be $34k. And compared to a modern Taco or Colorado, is pretty lo tech.
The $70k trucks filling up shopping malls in Texas must really aggravate you.![]()
Nope. I got the pipe, remember? [emoji23]
And I've never been to Texas. And I don't go to shopping malls.
I love big(ish)trucks. If you look back a page or two I put up a pic of my new (to me) tundra.
I think we are both somehow making the same point. But different.
4ft beds are silly. That Colorado looks like a fun toy, but It's no work truck. Carry on.
