The new ten speed tranny will be initially available only on the Raptor but will soon after be available on higher trim F150s. As I recall from my occasionally reading jalopnik etc.

I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but I rented a brand new F150 (~1,000 miles) in February that had three 4x4 settings, auto/high/low.

Nah, thanks but don't worry about it, now that I know they exist for sure I should be able to find them somewhere. It's not a huge rush, just something I'm trying to get done.

Where will they go to the bathroom until then?

It's been about 15 years since I drove a truck around as my daily driver but heading back to the daily truck life again tomorrow. Sold off my work 2500 Silverado and gooseneck trailer and selling my daily driver RAV4 as well and getting a 2014 Sierra 1500 Crew Cab. Going to be a change going from the small rav to a full size truck with a 6.5' box but I'm looking forward to it.

I might be changing my mind on the new Raptor. Sweet Jesus.

All it needs is some douchey sticker about CO on the back window, and it's ready for Highlands Ranch.

^^^The extended cab version actually looks pretty decent

edit: just read that's the Gladiator concept from 2005^^^, not a new vehicle.

The crew cab looks pretty dumb to me but I'm sure it will sell:

Why they bothered to camo that thing is beyond me, it stilll looks like exactly what it is.

Sometimes it's subtle. They could just plan on a 2 door version for now and be throwing people off with the crew cab.

The intent of camo is to preserve the actual unveiling of the actual production body at an auto show or press event. They know they're not concealing the genl identity of the mule.

Yeah but in this case it's kind of a joke. Let's see... flat sheet metal, plastic fender flares, running board, slotted grill, check, check, check, check.

Dakota/Ram bed... Seems like a mock up to me, that would be ugly in crew cab or extended cab. Should be a step side or at least like that gladiator concept.

I dunno if you can still get the stuff or anything like it but back in the day i borrowed my dads can of kiehaufer corrosion preventative (mercury outboard) which he used to spray the power head of his outboard, I used it on mag wheels and an old spanish dirt bike with shitty chrome that I rode all winter, the stuff left a dull film on everything and ... no corrosion period

Remember when pickups were affordable work vehicles for ranchers and tradesman? A good deal on a F250 XL 4x4 is $35K. All I see is $70K city trucks that will never do a days work. I'm dreading replacing my 05 with 200K. What I really need is a 4x4 box truck which is even more retarded.

Prices of new trucks and SUVs are insane. What was a $34k in 2002 is now $60,000. That's about $10,000 more even after inflation is taken into account.

    Trucks.

Pick up trucks are the new SUV.

I remember reading on teletips that if you aren't willing to drive off the dealership lot and go get a load of manure/bricks/lumber/etc, you don't need one.
