Like 'em or hate 'em? I know a lot of people have been talking about their next year's releases and some of the people on this site have seen them and commented on their graphics. Supposedly their ARV185 went up to a 130-95-119 or something around there. Anyways, for most of you who haven't seen their graphics, Armada is finally starting to release them on the website. I must say, they are definitely the most "out there" designs I have ever seen on skis. Personally, I really like the ARV's for next year and from what I have gathered, the ANTs are going to be stiff, monster, big mountain boards.

at least as far as graphics, i think its pretty cool what they are doing with artists and designs and stuff. i think its much cooler than what k2 has been attempting to do (besides seth's skis).
edit: not sure if that means i could rock them, but the idea is one i respect/like looking at.

I'm pretty sure the 185 ARV is gonna be my next ski -- totally bomber construction on the 03-04 models and as far as I know, very little has changed except the graphics.

The gun-to-the-head one is a bit disturbing however.

I claimed in a post about about two months ago that the AR5 for next year is THE best park ski available, and I'm holding to it. Not only park, but bombing groomers while making Super G turns and low snow all mountain. If I could only have two pairs of skis, one would be fat and one would be an AR5.

SOCAL VS. SKIING: Armada's making waves

Johnny DeCesare, Manhattan Beach, California resident and founder of Poor Boyz Productions, once said, “We’re living in the center of the anti-skiing vibe.” And anyone who has lived south of Santa Barbara will tell you he has a point. As much as we would like to think—as we walk to the lift with our snowboarding buddies, or on the right day, even our snowboards—that plank-hating is a thing of the 90s, in SoCal that’s sadly not the case. Take a few laps around the Blow C., and you’ll find it lives on, mixed right in with the fake-bosomed coke whores, guinea tees, pits bulls, and tattoos of pit bulls partially hidden beneath guinea tees. In too-cool California, the hipsters board ride, and skiing (especially park skiing) is the social equivalent of rollerblading (The horror!). But what happens when the hip alternative becomes so hip, so popular, so damn souled-out that it’s mainstream? The true trendsetters look for a new style to hang their individuality on, and where better to look than in the local arts and entertainment weekly. If you happen to live in that self-professed Mecca of style known as Southern California, and happened to pick up the February 11 issue of the OC Weekly, you would have learned that new alternative is Armada skis.
