Monashee Holiday - Short Vid TR

Some really deep snow and amazing stability made for great skiing over the holiday break. Got to ski some stuff in my area that I have only ever looked at before and wished it was stable enough.

Was hoping to get into the bigger peaks in the background (Pinnacles) but by the time I had my hall pass from Dad duties the inversion was in full effect making anything South Facing pretty nasty. On this sunny day it was -18c at about 400m in valley bottom then -28c at 1400m where we started on the sleds and a balmy -3c at 2200m where we dropped into the tight chute.

Shot in Revelstoke and near Cherryville, BC. Sled and skin access. Hoping this snow keeps up. Silver Star just got another 30cm this week.

Thanks. Heading back up again for the weekend. Stability has gone to shit this week, more so down in the mid altitudes 1300m-1800m. The inversion created a nasty hoar layer, sticking to the trees but that isn't so bad. Monashee trees rule!!!

Damn you laid waste to that run, sweet skiing on your part! No hesitation dropping into the choke point, SOLID!! Nothing better than the Monashees!
It's not your line until your looking back up at it!
