Some really deep snow and amazing stability made for great skiing over the holiday break. Got to ski some stuff in my area that I have only ever looked at before and wished it was stable enough.
Was hoping to get into the bigger peaks in the background (Pinnacles) but by the time I had my hall pass from Dad duties the inversion was in full effect making anything South Facing pretty nasty. On this sunny day it was -18c at about 400m in valley bottom then -28c at 1400m where we started on the sleds and a balmy -3c at 2200m where we dropped into the tight chute.
Shot in Revelstoke and near Cherryville, BC. Sled and skin access. Hoping this snow keeps up. Silver Star just got another 30cm this week.
