hmmm, i have mixed feelings about this. on the one hand, will be sweet to yo yo new Sherwood chair, on the other, it's gonna get schrlaped even faster.
but, i am digging the new lower pass prices! 'bout time.
I also have mixed feelings about the new Sherwood chair. The thing is though, most gapers don't ever make it back there, and it'll cut down on the long weekend lines that form there.
As for passes, isn't that full pass about the same price as last year's midweek plus? Excellent.
hmmm...yeah, do they really need that?
I'd rather a lift up Munchkins or to Twin Peaks![]()
hush your mouth 666! don't give 'em any ideas....as long as places like upper beaver and estelle, and twin peaks/munchkins, etc remain places that you have to hike to, there will always be some fresh back there a day or two after a storm....i love AM because of these areas that require knowledge and some effort...keeps the masses at bay.Originally Posted by skier666
I dont see the need for a high speed quad on sherwood at all. It doesnt exactly service a TON of terrain, and lines really aren't that bad.
This is funny. When were riding up Summit Six on Tuesday, I started talking to this random dude next to me on the chair. I mentioned Kirkwood and he said he loved the mountain but hated the slow chairs. To which I replied, "That's just the way I like them."
Except for chair 4 of course.
"I knew in an instant that the three dollars I had spent on wine would not go to waste."
Interesting that Powdr Corp is willing to spend the money to build a new high speed chair for Sherwood, which as pointed out dosn't really have the numbers to justify it but has decided not to spend a dime to upgrade, improve or fix the aging Pine Martin chair or Nortwest Express at Mt. Bachelor. Pine Martin this past season had several notable failures where it sized, dropped several feet, ran backwards and launched people off the chair.
The snow doesn't give a soft white damn whom it touches.
