And the pigs, let's not forget the pigs. A feral pig is a Wild Boar, no?

On the other hand a feral cat and a wild pussy are not the same thing.

They are specimens of a domesticated species and thus feral, not wild. The population of Canus lupus that are called "wolves" were never domesticated, and are thus wild. You know that.

"Feral horses couldn't drag me away" doesn't have quite the same ring.

can this semantic discussion transition to "beef", "horse beef", and "pork"? Did I get that right? What is the proper term for dog meat? "black dog"?

Someone probably already answered this, but the generic term is "cattle."

But both Keith Richards and the BLM call them wild and Bobby speaks the Gospel.

    Did humans create cows?

    Humans domesticated bison

We create something when it's been genetically modified to have different DNA than its wild predecessor.

Anything we do that changes a organism-- thru natural selection, hybridization, mutation, Transgene, CRISPR changes the DNA.

All I know is that I owe the dude or dudette that bread wagyu a high five.

I'm not sure the feral/wild semantic really matters. I didn't think they were mutually exclusive

Of course it matters and they are indeed mutually exclusive unless you haven't yet figured out the bright line distinction between Nature and fauna/flora created and/or manipulated by humans. WTF? Now you gonna tell me that Luther Burbank and guys with animal husbrandy degrees are gods? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropocentrism

I bet farmed cows taste better than feral ones.
